Man pleads guilty to threatening Kobe prosecutor

Postby Andrew on Sun Mar 20, 2005 2:21 pm

Kobe may be innocent of the rape charges, but someone else sure found a way of getting themselves into strife over the whole incident. Cedric Augustine, who threatened Mark Hurlbert and Kobe's accuser may face jail time and a hefty fine.

As far as I know, he's the only one who took things a little too far, to the point where he got himself in hot water.

I see. He's the only one who's actually getting charged. I mean Andrew... would you ever do that if MJ was in trouble?

No way. There's a lot of ways to show support for athletes and celebrities, and facing criminal charges isn't one I'd choose.

Wasn't there someone that offered to kill the girl for Kobe when it was near the beginning of the whole incident?

That sounds vaguely familiar, but I don't know if they actually caught that person, or if they've been punished already.

People, obviously Kobe Fans left messages on, was it his or her answering machine with threats or offers to threaten the girl.

I believe they left threatening messages on someone else's answering machine, someone they wrongly assumed to be the accuser. I think a couple of people were charged with that.
