SO wrote:why did spree choke p.j. carlissimo?
because pj carlissimo is an asshole arrogant fat coach who deserved to be choked. and this is coming from an avid latrell sprewell hater
Tue Mar 15, 2005 1:32 am
well Carlesimo wanted Spree to take a pay cut but Spree said that he cant feed his family for $10 million and was insulted so he choked him

hahaha
(you are joking right... ?)
Tue Mar 15, 2005 7:08 am
im sure he is, just making fun of spree comments on needing more money to feed his family earlier this season
Tue Mar 15, 2005 10:34 am
a nba coach deserved to be choked based on being an "asshole arrogant fat coach"
if anything, it is sprewell who deserves to be choked
Tue Mar 15, 2005 11:00 am
Yep, and his starving family also.
Tue Mar 15, 2005 11:10 am
people take comments too seriously. i was kidding about carlissimo, obviously latrell was in the wrong.
and i knew what matt was saying, and of course i knew about the comments latrell made earlier this year (it was in fact 14 million dollars that he was complaining about not 10, even more sickening) but i thought maybe matt didnt know anything about basketball and thought the choking happened earlier this year.

I was asking if he was fat cause if he was it would have given the whole story a funny dimension

I can't believe nobody answered this yet.
"There was just a buildup of anger and frustration and having it all bottled up and not being able to express myself. At that point, it just came to a head," said Sprewell.

"why'd you choke me!!!!?!!!.......geez don't you know i got a family too....a home, a wife, kids........what's your problem man?" said PJ.
20 seconds after the choking incident
Tue Mar 15, 2005 1:04 pm
I think PJ was more concerned about the fact Sprewell returned shortly after being led away with a two-by-four, rather than making some Hollywood-esque speech.
Tue Mar 15, 2005 1:08 pm
spree returned?
well horry once have his problems with danny ainge(coach not anchor man) not so long ago in the suns days. it was during a game. horry threw a towel at the face of danny and said something like this
" here wipe this in your ass!" said robert after being able to play only a mere 15 seconds in the half
Tue Mar 15, 2005 1:10 pm
I remember that incident back in 1997. Not too long after that, he was traded to LA for Cedric Ceballos.
Tue Mar 15, 2005 8:42 pm
.. and he became a sort of playoff legend in LA....
Tue Mar 15, 2005 8:59 pm
if he didn't get traded last year, Lakers can still win the Championship..
cuz.. he wasn't injured..
so if he was used more often.. Karl is likely to get bad injury..
who knows..
o well.. it's history already..
Tue Mar 15, 2005 9:04 pm
If all the critics are right.. and judging by how the Kobster was playing... Rob wouldnt have got a shot off... but then u think about his leadership.. how him and Fox and Malone could all m,aybe persuade Shaq and Kobe to become teammates for them... u never know...
and u dont want to think about it

With Orlando on a skid, Philadelphia treading water and New Jersey just a little too far out of reach, Indiana should still qualify as the 7th or 8th seed. But unless Reggie can turn back the clock, I don't expect they'll make much noise - kind of like the Kings out West with their revamped roster and injury woes.
Thu Mar 17, 2005 3:34 pm
i agree with andrew. they can't make a big noise in the playoffs now. the pacers that is.
Fri Mar 18, 2005 12:38 am
they are only 1/2 game behind the bulls for the 6 seed right now. they absoloutly crushed utah yesterday, and if they can hold on to pas the bulls, then i think jermaine will come back for the playoffs.
if jermaine is back for the playoffs i think they could be a sleeper team. i feel a little better about this with the way stephen and reggie have been playing.
Fri Mar 18, 2005 1:25 am
O'Neal would be risking re-injury to play for a season that is already lost...not a wise move, but he'll probably play if he doesnt need surgery
Fri Mar 18, 2005 5:12 am
Once they get Artest back and make some noise in the playoffs, assuming Jermaine isn't required for surgery, I can see O'Neal back in there, playing. Indiana, if it weren't for the injuries and suspensions, would've been an excellent team in the East.
Fri Mar 18, 2005 5:21 am
Yeah, possibly a title contender.

I really cracked up after reading that.

First good thing Francisco Elson did in his NBA-career.
btw. Spree choked Carlesimo because he was blaming him for all the losses. Spree was playing his butt off and tried everything to win, while Carlesimo on kept shouting that it was all his fault. I'm glad he choked him or else he would've never joined the Knicks the next year.
