Didn't follow up the big game too well, 6-22 FG, 4-12 3PT, 18 points, 4 rebounds 6 assists.

Alot of players in the League are already saying he is the best...

Really? I've heard a lot of people say that in reference to his one on one ability, but I don't know..

Please, Sit, how is that great? Don't you remember when people were saying that the Lakers were nothing short of a first round exit? That used to be an insult! Expectations for Kobe Bryant and his Lakers are decreasing by the week. Please don't tell me that you consider an eight spot in the playoffs a great feat.

Not taking them to the playoffs proves the critics right. Not taking them past the first round proves the critics right. Not taking the Finals proves the critics right! Because you know what the critics were saying? That the Shaq-Odom/Butler/Grant trade was an imbecil(sp?) move! A downgrade! Certainly not a chapter in your little "How The Lakers Turn."

No kidding, Miami is virtually first in the league now

I didn't expect them to win this many games with Laettner, Haslem, and Jones. Obviously Shaq makes a difference, and the big improvement of Wade does too, but he's no Kobe :P

I can swear I said lakers wouldnt be too high but might pull off an upset in the first round... the way the Lakers are going it will take alot from Kobe to get them back in the running... unfortunately it isnt happening...

Actually.. I've always admitted that the trade wasnt too good for LA.. they could have gotten a lot more! And actyually... Kobe taking the team back into the playoffs is actually pretty big considering he made Phil and Shaq leave... I've always thought he was part of it... but Buss insists the other way...

And about Kobe... maybe i was mistaken... but there are a few 'stars' saying he is the best player... actually individually yes... as a leader.. im doubtful too- dont get me wrong

Their were a lot of Lakers fans who I know that said they'd win the division and be a Top 3 team in the West, I don't know how the conclusion came, but many fans outside of Lakers fans say 6-8th seed or no playoffs.

The Lakers need some lottery, boost their talent, and then they can make their run next season.

The Lakers front office would rather a playoff appearance becuase of repuation and money... no doubt a lottery pick will be better for the furture!
