oh i fully understand that loseing a player like malone hurts, but what i am saying is, this stuff happens to alot of championship teams in all sports. cant go back and say what if, its only what is

I don't know if not playing James and Wade enough minutes was a factor, which made him a "crap coach." But I think it's the lack of practice time and they never had a chemistry that Argentina and other teams had (many years of playing with each other)
As for the final list, I'd pick:
1) Miami
2) Detroit
3) Boston
4) Chicago
5) Washington
6) Cleveland
7) Indiana
8) Toronto (naw, just kidding.. put Orlando there)

I agree with your list, except for indiana.. as much as i like them i cant see them making the playoffs (let alone 7th seed) without jermaine. if they get him back fairly soon though, i'll change my opinion

. If he doesnt come back, Orlando and Philly should take the final 2 spots.

There's still about 20 games left, so Jermaine should be back.. at least I hope. I have no idea what his status is
Tue Mar 15, 2005 10:03 pm
Indiana is really clinging onto the hope that Jermaine will be back.. but I doubt he will be!
Wed Mar 16, 2005 3:27 am
Orlando has collapsed badly recently....even w/o JO they could make 8th
Wed Mar 16, 2005 7:30 am
Yep he's crazy!

indiana is playin really really giid ball without jermaine. stephen, anthony, fred, reggie are all stepping up big time. it looks like he will be back at some point, though their has been no definite change in his status. he could be back as early as tomorrow vs. the jazz, or as late as the playoffs. the pacers are doing a really bad job of reporting his status.

in part because webber got to keep the 4 when he got traded to philly (iguodala was #4 at the time). generally, #s are given up to superstars or veteran players. al jefferson then gave up the 8 to walker after the commish allowed it.
Wed Mar 16, 2005 12:06 pm
And Al went to 7... i dont know why...
Wed Mar 16, 2005 4:20 pm
damn thats crazy
Wed Mar 16, 2005 6:42 pm
maybe AI don't want webber to have a higher number than his. so the 7
Wed Mar 16, 2005 8:49 pm
Its because al jeffersons high school jersey was number 25.. and 25 is retired. so he took 7 = 2+5 but he also claimed, he chose that because he respects jermaine.
Coolmac wat the hell are you on about? They are talking about Al jefferson giving up his #8 to Walker. It has nothing to do with webber.

I dont think he ever knows what hes talkin abt
Anyway Celtics should take the division....Philly will have to wait for next season...hopefully by then C-Webb n AI can sort things out...though it will be hard cause both of them dont wanna step down to the level of second best player.
I was hopin the Knicks would take the Atlantic....but they look woeful right now.
Wed Mar 16, 2005 10:25 pm
its no tthat the knicks are woeful, it's the fact that the celtics are hot and actually might finish with the 3rd best record in the east

Maybe Boston is trying to re-make history...
u know .. just as Lakers did..
and .. Detroit..
it's time for Boston..
if Boston win this year's Championship..
it could be the work of David Stern.. ha
Thu Mar 17, 2005 5:31 am
I saw that toine bought a $10,000 watch to Al in order to get #8 back...
life is simple in the NBA

What I really like about about Boston is how well Ricky is playing off the bench. He is keeping his mouth shut and doing as told. There is no doubt that this guy has talent and could be a starter anywhere in the league. I love how a guy known as a "Team Cancer" and "loud mouth prick" (LOL) embraces his role in Boston.
He has made some big plays lately and it's always nice to have a guy that can score 25 on any night coming off the bench.

thanks my bad
