Yao - 5 blks ALL on Amare.

But you know what? Rockets and Yao had a terrible game because stats are irrelevant.

You all are acting like the Suns had Marion on the team. When I looked at the score, I was impressed until I saw that Marion didn't play. Can't wait for the Grizzlies to play the Rockets again.

No not really, but Yao did play very well, and it's a good win for the Rockets, but Marion wasn't there.

yes.. Yao did play well...
it's very rare to see him get so many rebounds + score alot of pts at the same time..
better treasure it..

Let's see bout next game..
can he still be consistent...?
Lets have a bet.. :D

Funny KevC didnt post after this, I guess he needs Ben to hold his hand..

As for the Rockets, looks like they have gotten their shit together after getting wesley and sura and James.

indeed, Houston have made some smart moves as far as their backcourt goes. Anyways, i dont think Yao would of had those 22 if Marion was there, but it's a W so it don't matter.

Fuck you.

Why would I feel the need to post after it? Yes, Marion would've helped and it's a valid speculation that the outcome might have been different

amare's riding nash's coattails. their all-round best player is still shawn marion. the guy's 6-8 and grabs 10 boards per, can shoot the ball well too.

Haha, you felt a need to reply after my post though .

And for the record, I was reffering to "lol correct, stats are irrelevant. basketball is not a boxscore sport", not "
kudos to the rockets on their win. perhaps if shawn marion pleyed, the outcome would have been different", which was a reply to your stupid ben-like post of: "But you know what? Rockets and Yao had a terrible game because stats are irrelevant.", so thats why you should have posted afterwoods.. like i said before, I guess you need Ben to hold your hand.

oh yeh i'm a mod for this section so...

kindly leave the curses to teams, players, and GM's, not each other

please guys- don't make evil gordon (EG!) come out and take mod action. he's kind of like the evil version of the smurfs (the ones that got bit in the tail, turn red, and say "g-nap!")

anywhos... i think marion probably would have had a bigger effect on tmac's scoring

I didnt curse in my reply..

Marion probably would have slowed Tmac down a little, but not that big of an impact. But I didnt see the game so I dont know

His impact would've been taking rebounds away from Yao. And I don't think Matrix would guard McGrady, simply because that would've left Johnson covering Juwan.

Which would you rather though: Tmac dominating or Juwan posting up?

With Marion in there though that's a great shotblocker so Johnson can get up in his face more. Yes Amare was in there and he can block a few shots, but he has Yao to worry about. If Marion was in I would leave Joe on TMac as he is a good defender, and yet Marion make sure he knows where TMac is at all times so he can get there on the drive.

i wasn't referring to you, matthew. i must have been putting my post together when you submitted the one above mine. i was referring to the other 2

colin- yeh maybe you're right. however i think it would be a good strategy to at least try and put your best defender on tmac for at least one stretch. after all he did torch them for 38pts :) i've seen marion put the clamps on players types ranging from the diggler to paul pierce
