if duncan/robinson is there, i wonder why ben/rasheed isn't...
Fri Mar 11, 2005 2:47 pm
malone and stockton gets my vote , they were unstoppable (sort of) but then malone left .
Fri Mar 11, 2005 4:04 pm
Stockton and Malone were "unstopable"? Try telling that to the 97 and 98 bulls teams that beat them

unstoppable, what are you talkin abt they never even won a title....if u cant win a title then ure not really UNSTOPPABLE.....n Malone left for 1 year....not like him n stock were gonna win a title when they were almost 40 years old specially with the team they had prior to the decision that the Mailman would go to the Lakers.
if duncan/robinson is there, i wonder why ben/rasheed isn't...
you do remember Sheed only joined only an year ago....theirs very little history between them....all the seasons TD n The Admiral were together they won 50+ games and also had 2 titles.....
magic n kareem is prolly the best......then bird n mchale....kobe n shaq....

In my (unashamedly biased) opinion, Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Together they won six titles and led the Bulls to multiple 50+ win season, including five 60+ win seasons and a league best 72-10 in 1996. They worked so well together on the floor, at both ends. In their prime, "unleashing the dobermans" meant bad things for the opposition.
I remember game one of the 1992 first round series against the Miami Heat. Jordan and Pippen swarmed a Heat player (I believe it was Steve Smith or Bimbo Coles) with a double team, forcing a turnover which led to a 2 on 1 fastbreak; MJ and Pip the two, Grant Long the one. Needless to say, that play didn't end in Miami's favour.

pip and mj
while many don't consider them to be a dou. i consider them to be a tag team
Fri Mar 11, 2005 4:25 pm
the dobermen.. because no one could stop them, and they could stop anyone.
throw in rodman for good measure
Fri Mar 11, 2005 5:20 pm
Jordan & Pippen are my favourite dynamic duo
but the wade shaq duo is looking promising same with the nash stoudimire duo.
Fri Mar 11, 2005 7:32 pm
I chose Stockton and Malone....separately I don't think they would have been as good....but the sum of their parts proved to make then All-Time Greats....
I was tempted by the MJ-Pippen combo but feel it was a bit too one-sided....
Fri Mar 11, 2005 8:01 pm
MJ/Pippen that is how I voted. Those two are definietly the best duo because togther they covered each others weaknesses and made each other better
Sat Mar 12, 2005 1:32 am
Stockton and Malone. Those guys are the reason Malone is second in all time scoring and Stockton is all time in assists.
Sat Mar 12, 2005 2:04 am
Gotta go with Jordan and Pip.
Sat Mar 12, 2005 2:05 am
Stockton and Malone, by far.
Sat Mar 12, 2005 2:47 am
West/Chamberlain.
Sat Mar 12, 2005 2:55 am
No love for Russell and Cousy?
Sat Mar 12, 2005 3:06 am
jordan and pippen definitley. they were perfect for each other, and pippen is underrated by alot of people. he would have been a top 10 all time player on any other team as a superstar. with jordan he took a slightly smaller role, but he still was an amazing player. combine that with the GOAT, and you have 6 (could have been 8 or 9) championships and the greatest duo of all time.
and ive hated the bulls my whole life!
Sat Mar 12, 2005 6:55 am
Twin Towers: Tim DUncan/ Robinson or Hakeen/Sampson..
who's better?
are there anymore TT's in NBA?
Sat Mar 12, 2005 7:15 am
MJ/Scotty because they were great and one so many championships. Magic/Kareem came very close though, along with others.
Sat Mar 12, 2005 7:58 am
mj/scottie.. you can tell they truly complemented each other, i watched a shitload of their games.. try catching some 96-97 games when they played grant hill and the detroit pistons they absolutely swarmed him and he couldnt do shit all.. another game i recommend watching is the 90-91 series between the bulls and the lakers - the final game of the series. they forced so many turnovers and were on so many 2 on 1 fastbreaks.. i would've hated being the opposition
Sat Mar 12, 2005 12:52 pm
wow mj and pip is winning by a landslide!
Sat Mar 12, 2005 1:47 pm
i have to give this vote to jordan and pippen. i would love to say stockton and malone as they were imo the ultimate teammates, but you cant ignore the skill of jordan and pippen. not only were they great in a solo act but together they combined probably the best defensive duo ever(though bill russel and anyone else on the team would probably challenge them).
also i dont think shaq and kobe belong on this list. they were never a duo. they were simply 2 guys that happened to be on the same team and they both had the same goal in mind. nothing about these 2 has ever been a duo imo.
Sun Mar 13, 2005 1:18 pm
The two never worked as a team consistently enough to be considered a duo.
It depends on what u call a duo. Ultimately I do believe Pips and MJ worked together well and made each other better. Same with Stock and Malone... but which duo won the most? MJ and Pips.

bill russell and cousy

;
But from the years I've actually seen games. Magic/Kareem... then Michael/Scottie tied with Malone/Stockton.
and for the record, stockton retired before malone left.

Best team play = Malone and Stockton
- True definition of a great duo IMO, and the first definition I thought of too.
so that's my vote
Most skilled = Jordan and Pippen
- They are definitley the duo with the most talent, and to top it all of they are one of the top five 'team play' duos of all time too.
Two players with most succes together = Cousy and Russell
- They were an unbelievable duo of two players that weren't the best scorers taht just got it done to the tune of an almost unhealthy ammount of championships.
