I think Cwebb game will deminish with AI around
i agree that he is playing the best ball too. But why was Carter named Player of the Minth over him. Didn't Iverson have some big games in the last month?

The only knock against him is that the Sixers haven't been all that impressive in the W column, but he hasn't had a whole lot of help in terms of a teammate who's just as likely to put up big numbers; now of course, he has C-Webb. If the Sixers were a little higher up in the standings, he'd really make a case for the MVP this season. As it is, the media will likely opt for Duncan or Nash.

AI is probably the most exciting player in the NBA when he's in the zone but also the most annoything thing to watch if you're a basketball fan on one of his 10 turnover, 7/25 FG off nights... Remeber MJ? 30ppg with about 50% shooting. That's the difference between a very good scorer and a great one...
As far as the MVP race is concerned, I think LeBron is in it as well, if for anly the whole hype thing.

That might be becuase the NBA Finals are played in June, which is Summer in america, so no rings would be won in spring.AI is probably the most exciting player in the NBA when he's in the zone but also the most annoything thing to watch if you're a basketball fan on one of his 10 turnover, 7/25 FG off nights... You're comparing Jordan to Iverson, and thats your arguement as to why Iverson isnt great? Jordan casts a shadow over anyone he is compared to, which is completely unfair. As far as the MVP race is concerned, I think LeBron is in it as well, if for anly the whole hype thing.
So Iverson isnt in it in your opinion, because he has off nights, but lebron is in it, just becuase of the hype? Geeze, you really know your basketball don't you?

New York, NY -- Philadelphia 76ers guard Allen Iverson and Denver Nuggets center Marcus Camby were named NBA Players of the Week on Monday.
Iverson earned Eastern Conference honors after averaging 37.3 points, 7.0 assists and 3.5 steals in leading the Sixers to a 3-1 record last week. He scored more than 30 points in each game, including 48 in a victory at Milwaukee.
Camby was named the Western Conference Player of the Week after he collected three straight double-doubles in helping the Nuggets to a 3-0 mark. He averaged 14.0 points, 15.7 rebounds and 4.33 blocks in the three games.
Other nominees for Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week for games played Monday, February 28 through Sunday, March 6 were Denver's Carmelo Anthony, Miami's Dwyane Wade, Minnesota's Kevin Garnett, Orlando's Dwight Howard, Phoenix's Joe Johnson, San Antonio's Tony Parker and Seattle's Ray Allen.

Agreed, but the regular season MVP doesn't take that into account. Steve Nash is perhaps the most popular pick for the MVP this year, but I doubt the Suns will win it all this year.
