C-Webb has Big Game, Kings Lose

Postby Keo on Sat Mar 05, 2005 1:37 pm

Chris Webber had his first big game as a Sixer and I believe it is worth making a thread for.
C-Webb had 24 PTS, 12 REBS, 4 AST in a win over the Cleveland Cavaliers while his old team lost to the Miami Heat.
I'm glad that C-Webb is getting on the right track with the sixers!

Let's not jump onto the jumpwagon all at once now... they've only had like 3-4 games since the trade, there's such thing as taking time to gel with new teammates. We'll review the trade a couple weeks after...

You're complaining that they lost to the Bobcats who only have 12 wins and yet your signature clearly says that the Kings are number one? Seems like you're contradicting yourself.

And the Kings were doing well without Webber until Brad Miller got injured, that's when they started losing, but it is still to early to tell if they are better with or without Chris Webber.

Me too. I still stick by it.

And their entire frontline sat out the game vs. the Bobcats. No Miller, songalia or Peja..

And it's going to take some getting used to now not having Webber and gelling with the new teammates before things start rolling.

exactly, this will change the entire team. webber can go to philly and just fit in at first and then insert himself. for now its all iverson still so its alot easier for him.

What did Webber do?

And I third that, the Kings are better off without Webber, judging by how well they did when he was injured.

It's about time somebody points it out. Even I don't agree with most of the things he says and he has a huge temper problem... :?

ROFL! All you can see is the neckline of his jersey. And it's still Chris Webber. I don't think they have him in that kind of pose with a Sixers jersey yet.

Okay, enough! How about we talk about the REAL issue at hand. Chris Webber has had NO impact at all on the Sixers right now. Post-trade, they are under .500, with a record of 3-4. Man, HUGE disappointment. And it's not going to get easier... Webber was booed last night. If you're going to play in Philly, you've got to have some thick skin.

a real baller thrives when booed. if you insult him and get on his case or in his face he is gonna rise up and make you eat every last word. webber just cant handle the big games, this has been his problem since college.

Ya he's struggling a lot...this isn't him! I miss the C-Webb who averaged more than 27 points a game. The C-Webb who almost won MVP.
