What type of players and positions do you like?

I like power forwards, it is my favourite position. When I played basketball back in school I tried to play like power forwards... I couldn't dribble LOL but I was good at rebounding and blocking and had a good jumpshot.

I usually prefer players like Ben Wallace and a defensive style of play. Back in the 90s, my favourite players were Charles Oakley, Shawn Kemp, Karl Malone, Horace Grant...

I just love rebounding and blocking and do not like dribble-moves, crossover-stuff, slashing and taking shot after shot much. Therefore players like Iverson or Kobe Bryant are boring to me.

The best feeling when playing is not a lay-up, a crossover, a three-pointer...and I hate running and gunning...the best things are rebound-domination and blocked shots...from behind when someone drives to the basket, goes for the layup and you come from behind and swat away his shot. :D
I generally prefer defensive play, bone-crushsing defense, blocks, rebounds...the kind of defense the New York Knicks were once famous for. :(

I like all kinds of positions, but types of players I like (not necessarily players that I like): Vince Carter, Steve Nash, Chris Webber, Amare Stoudemire, LeBron James, and Ben Wallace

I guess that sums down to big, strong guys and finesse players

How can you not like Ostertag!!!

I am pretty much like Leander, I think defense first. I don't play PF nor do I ever plan on playing PF, but from time to time I will use some post-up moves if I can get myself into the paint.

I will take open jumpers extending out past the three point mark if, as I said earlier, I have an open shot.

When it comes to the types of players I like its good defenders that know they have four other players on the court with them.

Eg. Jason Kidd :), Andrei Kirilenko, Tim Duncan etc.

even though its not really a position, i dig the point forwards (lamar odom, grant hill, lebron james, KG) .. they can take you out in the perimeter but also do their work in the paint

Besides the Pacers...
PG's. Earl Boykins. Allen Iverson. Good dribbling, good passers (Iverson is now). I like the street influence, just not an all-street game like Rafer. And Boykins just because he's small.

jalen was a cancer, he thought he was better then he really was, he took shots away from reggie, when reggie still had enough in him to average 22 or so points a game. he thought he was the guy that should take the shot down the stretch, and he forced a lot of shots. but the reason i hate him most of all is this. in game 7 of the eastern conference finals in 98 against the bulls, the pacers were in command of the game for most all of the first half and led 72-69 with less then 8 minutes remaining. jalen rose tried to take it in to his own hands to win the game and there are 3 shots he took that stick out in my memory as horrible shots that gave pippen the chance to bring the bulls back in to it. stupid jalen.

i liked jalen.. on the bulls

i was pissed like shit that the bulls traded him away. amazingly, he was able to get a triple double when he was with us. he scored like 44 (or whatever his career high is) in a win over houston. i was like "FINALLY! WE HAVE SOMEONE GOOD!" maybe that was because brad miller was just average, ron artest wasn't really a beast, and ron mercer wasn't scoring that much anymore.

now that this year's proven to be good for us, im happy he's gone.. what can you say? i hopped on the kirk hinrich bandwagon

kirk hinrich is a better passer and slasher. also a better defender. redick may be a decent nba player, but i dont think hes got as good of an all around game as hinrich.

I like the position of Point Guards; in the sense that they usually run the flow of the game like a traffic enforcer/court general... they possess great court vision, great ball-handling skills, good perimeter and 3-point shooting skills and of course, an excellent passer.

My favorite playmakers are : John Stockton, Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson, Steve Nash, Allen Iverson, Jerry West, and Isaiah Thomas...

I like players who are better-known for their defense but can also hit the J. Some of the players I model aspects of my game from are Trenton Hassell, Ron Artest, Speedy Claxton, Mike Dunleavy (yes, I'm aware he plays no defense but he's a smart player and often makes good decisions of where to rotate on defense) and Gary Payton.

I've always wanted to be a PG like some of my favorite players growing up (Magic!!!, Gary Payton, Muggsy Bogues), but I could never handle the ball... I like a lot of the bigger PGs like Baron Davis & GP.
