23 and 24 ready to get going
As seen practicing above, Cleveland Cavaliers guards LeBron James (Right) and new commer Ben Takash (Left) are warming up for the 2004 - 2005 NBA season. James is looking for a strong sophmore season to get his team to the playoffs, which they just narrowly missed last year. LeBron is also determined to step up his game, despite having a stellar first season and taking rookie of the year honnors. "I felt like down the strech last year, there were a lot of things I could've done that would've changed the outcome of the entire season." James said. To help James carry the load this year coach Paul Silas has brought in rookie guard Ben Takash from North Dakota. The Cavs snagged the undrafted Takash off of free agency. "Through out training camp he's really showed me something." Coach Silas commented when asked about Takash. "The kid's a shooter obviously, but he can dunk. I mean he can Dunk. One thing we're gonna have to work on with him is his defense though. Sometimes he'll get lazy and let his man penetrate the lane or leave him open on the perimeter for an easy shot. And with guards like Marbury and Wade in this conference, we can't have that." Coach Silas seems to have confidence in his new guard duo. But we'll see if this one-two guard punch can hold once the season gets underway.
