well they are boring to watch.......I mean their songs are same format.....Verse - Chorus - Verse - Lead - Chorus till fade...well at least 90% of their songs......
their hell boring onstage....all they do is stand in one position....try to act dead(mostly cause thats what their record company tells them to do) and sing or play guitar or play the drums.......

I mean yeah they did make the core for metal musicians......but still I dont see why ppl praise them as SUPERSTARS and unbeateable talent etc....

I'd prefer to listen to Sabbath any day of the punk rock that calls itself rock a lot these days....just my opinion though....

as for Sabbath, as you said there music is core for other metal, like Metallica, etc, etc.....

people think Jimmy Hendrix is great as he also provided a platform....

so I would call there music revolutionary and thus great....just like led zeppelin, hendrix, etc, etc

And how can a band be boring when their lead guitarist doesn't even have finger tips. Tony Iommi lost his finger tips in a sheetmetal accident when he was a teenager, he then got wax tips of something. That is straight up gangsta.
