Webber: 2 Triple-doubles in a row, not an all-star???

Postby Keo on Thu Feb 10, 2005 7:29 am

Well u all know I'm a C-Webb fan and one of few (traitors)... :?
He just got TWO TRIPLE-DOUBLES IN A ROW! And I'm very happy for him! And also he wasn't an all-star???!!! This is driving me nuts! I don't care what any of u say! 22 PPG 10 RPG and 5.5 APG=ALL-STAR!!!
And Rashard Lewis who I really like shouldn't be there and Manu who I also like shouldn't be there (it should've been Maggette or probably Bibby) Anyway this year's all-star game is gonna blow...

your actually right, c webb is one of the snubs this year.

c-webb and steve francis are really the only 2 who can make a real point for being major snubs.

IMO, it should have been:

Steve Francis over Zydrunas Ilgauskus (too many centers/forwards in the East team already)

Chris Webber over Rashard Lewis (PPG are almost identical but C-Webb leads in RPG and APG big time)

And also now that u bring it up, Steve Francis and JASON KIDD should've been All-Stars...

Jason Kidd.. nope. Arenas and Wade have been outplaying him.

I think the only players JKidd could have replaced would either be Ilgauskus or Pierce.

i think theres a reason there are more forwards. just look at the west line up. east starting 'forwards' are hill and carter. yea good luck guarding duncan, nowitzki, garnett.

and webber's 2 triple doubles cant be used as a factor since the votes were probly done b4 those games.

Kidd deserves to make it. JO made it and Kidd only missed one more game than he did.

i agree. lewis made it to the all star game because his coach lobbied for his inclusion in the all star game. i never heard a thing like that happening before. and if the coaches are going to vote people in based on their team records, well they better be consistent. coz if that's the case, paul pierce and jermaine should not have been selected (but anyway there's no other choice).

That was exactly what I was gonna say when I saw the thread title.

But, Webber should've been on the All-Star team, but then again, there's a lot of snubs that should've made it this year anyway. Stupid NBA All Star balloting had to put some guards there, some forwards there, some centers there.

There's always snubs. I don't know why you made an entire thread just to say it :?

and I can't beleive I forgot about this, Brad Miller should've been there!

While we're on this, why don't we just put Bibby in there too. And Stojakovic...and Mobley.

C Webb & KG are only players that average at least 20, 9, 5......so yeah, C-Webb got majorly snubbed.

Too bad my man Hamilton didn't make it :( If only he was out West

What's with JO playing, I mean he missed a huge chunk of the season....IMO you should play 80% of games to be in All-Star game.

These are the players i think shouldnt be in the All-Star game

Yao
Carter
JO
Ilgauskas
Pierce

^ you can't include Pierce and Carter, and not put Grant Hill, he definately doesn't deserve it either, and not over those 2 either.

Steve Francis over Zydrunas Ilgauskus (too many centers/forwards in the East team already)

Really? Their's Shaq, Ben, Ilguaskas and JO, PF/C's are only 1/3 of the roster. Jamison and Grant or Vince whoever is the PF in the starting lineup are SF's.

Webber should've made it over Rashard Lewis.

Steve Francis should've made it over Pierce.

Kidd has been playing great, but he hasn't outplayed Arenas and Wade who made it, and if he made it then their's be more complaints for Francis with people saying Kidd missed so many games.

C-Webb is one of the best players this year. He should have done it to the All-Stars. He is second in triple doubles. Even Rashard Lewis and Amare did it, but C-Webb was clearly better than them.
