Will the Glove move to a contender? And where?

Denver is a possibility, but I think he'll stay with boston until the off season. Imagine him back in seattle with their team now

because that old guy is an expiring contract and he plays like he actually cares about winning. he doesnt whine about contract extensions either...

I've read on hoopshype that the twolves may waive Spree. i hope they also send Sam back to whatever planet he came from (Y)

It's been a pleasure to actually have Gary Payton playing in my local broadcasting area, and he's been nothing but stellar for the Celtics this year. He really is their MVP; their offense would crumble without him. Yeah he's old, but there's still very few point guards out there who are able to control the tempo of a game like GP does. Don't look at the stats because it's never been stats that have made this guy a first ballot Hall of Famer.

Having said that, any team would be lucky to have this guy, either as their starter or backup(though I don't actually seem him coming off the bench). This guy would do wonders for the Clippers, and I bet KG would be thrilled to play alongside a point guard like Payton.

Anyways, it's obvious he's not going to stay in Boston -- not as if they wouldn't want to keep him. But management knew coming in that he'd be short term; I just don't think they'd know he'd have such an impact -- his leadership, clutch play, and mentoring of the young point guards has been amazing.

It's been great having you in Boston, Gary -- now go get your ring!

KG and GP are really close friends, so gary on the wolves would be tight but Wally and Gary have some bad blood.

However, I think Gary will stay on the Celtics.

i'd like to see gp for cassell trade happen. i think then minny can make a serious push for the 6th or 7th seed but i don't know if boston would want to make that trade so minny probably minny has to throw in extra incentives maybe a 1st round pick and some cash? don't know but i think the salaries match up pretty well

Why would wolves deal a first and cash along with Cassell for Payton?

send him back to seattle would be cool, just end creer where you started. minny might be the next destination though simply because they are struggling and need a change.

imo as long as boston continues to contend for their division/playoffs... GP will remain in Boston this season

bcuz cassell and his whines for a new contract r distracting. i admit maybe a little too much cassell and a 2nd rounder for payton would be great 4 the twolves
