No. It's a prime example of the words "God" or "Jesus" becoming intrenched in human society to the extent that people, believers or not, will use the words in the context of certain phrases and sayings. Is God part of my life? No. Is the word "God" part of human literature, yes.

I'm sure when you go to "heaven" God would be like "Hmm... well, you did kill someone which I don't like but you didn't say my name in vain so hey, come on in!"

it may seem so.....but, I wouldn't kill someone actively....if i had the choice of blasphemy or murder then i would choose murder. On the scale of sins Blasphemy is alone @#1 whereas murder is in the third group a notch above swearing....i cant remember it all.

if you kill for no reason at all other than because of such evil desire then you are sinning

if you are put in a situation where you have to kill someone justifiable to righteousness(self defense, killing of evil creatures demons etc.) then your not sinning

if you dont know the law and you feel like killing someone is ok then ignorance of the law will be unto you then you wont be sin.

God is a justful God and He acts on reason. not what aothers think He is manipulative and one sided.

Have you been reading, "God, A Biography" by Jack Miles? The author actually goes through the entire Old Testament with the reader and psychoanalyzes God objectively and it's pretty shocking how many flaws God has, and I'm not even done with Genesis.

That's true, because they refuse to search for fault or flaws, or have critical thinking on seeing another perspective of things. I was once a Christian fundamentalist for a short time but couldn't take it when I realized I was repressing myself and placing limitations on my life. I still believe in God and Jesus, but nowhere near the same beliefs as the way Christians see God and Jesus. I've done a lot of reading through many books on many different point of views of Christianity, and I discovered a better way to live life and to treat people the same way.

Have you been reading, "God, A Biography" by Jack Miles? The author actually goes through the entire Old Testament with the reader and psychoanalyzes God objectively and it's pretty shocking how many flaws God has, and I'm not even done with Genesis.

Nope I haven't actually, it sounds pretty interesting though.
