2004-2005 NBA Highlight thread

Postby Ruff Ryder on Mon Jan 31, 2005 9:23 am

Yep, I've decided to start an NBA Highlight thread. I was inspired by the one at clublakers. I know most of you guys probably don't have NBA TV, ESPN or any of that good stuff. I'll try to update it once a week, but hopefully more. I probably won't be able to get all of the highlights for each day though.

*How to use rapidshare*
When I give you the link click on it. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page. At first it will take you to a page, probably, that asks you to choose download type. Don't take premium because it costs money. Click on "Free."

Then it will take you to a page to download it. At the bottom of the page it will say:
You have requested the file dunk_francis_s_050129_hi.rm (951822 Bytes). This file has been downloaded 89 times already.
IMPORTANT: Download-accelerators are only supported for PREMIUM-Users! Infos PREMIUM-Login

Download-Ticket reserved. Please wait 34 seconds.
Avoid the need for download-tickets by using a PREMIUM-Account.

You have to wait out the timer. The "34" will count down and when it gets done you will see:

You have requested the file dunk_francis_s_050129_hi.rm (951822 Bytes). This file has been downloaded 89 times already.
IMPORTANT: Download-accelerators are only supported for PREMIUM-Users! Infos PREMIUM-Login

Download: dunk_francis_s_050129_hi.rm

Then just click and save. I think that you can change the extension from .rm to .mpg if you don't like rms.

Sweet. I don't have ESPN, and NBA coverage in Canada here isn't always the greatest. I'm sure this will come in handy for me at some point. And very handy for our international buddies. (Y)

No, the video thread is just misc. videos. Lots of mixes, etc. This is dedicated to highlights.

Edit: it's/was also run by Homer...need I say more?

And I can update the first post daily instead of having to keep posting.

Many thanks to ludacris06. From now I'll be downloading day and night! 25 hours a day, 8 days a week, 6 weeks a month, and 14 months a year without stopping! Great thread!

First off I take He Got Game, MJ's 69 points game and J70's 55 points game. A must! A pitty Amare's 50 aren't downloadable. Then I'll read the Recaps of the coming NBA games and will download the best, e.g. 2OT, or over 40 points etc.

By the way, Remy D.: I can't download the games listed on 01/30/05, just the other ones I can.

On the 1/30 games and ones with putfile, all you have to do is left click them. The open in a new window and stream.

At Colin-I think it only works with .rm files but if you change the extension when you save it, say for instance kobe_bryant_dunk.rm
1.)Save it to somewhere on your disc unless you have the codec or dont mind real player
2.)Before you click save, change kobe_bryant_dunk.rm to kobe_bryant_dunk.mpg
3.)Then hit save.

No it isn't. I watch highlights all the time and still don't see some of the plays that are talked about.

It's still pretty good, but considering it 'almost the same' as the hockey coverage is completely wrong.

EDIT: I get most of my videos from mixmakers.net and clublakers.com. Kobefor3itsgood said as long as I uploaded them myself if they were originally hosted by yousendit I can use them.
