haha let me rephrase. both duhon and hinrich deserve to be in the game based on their play so far. tony allen is coming on strong as of late but duhon should get the nod over him, regardless of the stats. i'm not much of a duke fan either but hey, he deserves it.

Ughh, I still hate Duhon, and the rib he hurt in last year's ACC Championship Game. And look at that shooting percentage! 32%?

Isn't Al Jefferson injured?

Yeah, he is. I just checked it up on the RealGM Celtics board. It's a shame, because this guy has franchise player written all over him. Probably the only untradable guy on the Celtics roster.

fgrep15: I'm not saying you're not right about any of the points you're trying to make, but you should learn to look further than stats only.

IMO it's almost impossible to rank rookies based on their stats. How many rookies came into this league with a starting spot locked? Not too much.
Nenad Kristic should never, I repeat NEVER, have made it onto these rosters. He gets more opportunities because he's on a weak team, what if Al Jefferson got those opportunities? This is just an example, don't get too specific on any individual cases in your possible reply.

btw. I know JR Smith and Ariza aren't all that great (yet; can a borther have some dreams?) but if you want an exciting Rook-Soph game, you definately need those two in it.

well Wade and Lebron won't be playing, they'll be in the All-Star game instead...so that clears 2 spots

Why they won't be playing? They can still play in both games, right?

You're right, it used to be the rule that rookies who made the All-Star team couldn't compete in the Rookie (now Rookie/Sophomore) game, but they dropped that restriction.

Well cklitsie, the guys you picked just aren't doing anything special, JR Smith has a team where everyone is injured, and he still can't find consistent minutes, that has to say something.

Ariza has been pretty good, plays average defense, and shows flashes, but hasn't done any more for his team than an Udrih or Harris.

lol yeah, he is not NBA-Ready at all and he won't get any playing time for 1-2 years maybe even longer as long as he is on the Wolves.

Wolves could have had Josh Howard

wtf? josh smith makin' it makes it stupid? are you kidding me? this kid desereves to be there. he is better than bonner, without a doubt. not to mention he's younger. i will say urih's placement is questionable and would want bonner over him, but josh smith deserves to be there

josh is avreagin' nearly 2 blocks a game, as a GUARD (technically sf, but w/e). he will definitely bring you the excitement in dunks. (i believe these games are for entertainment) so that means he can play D (egh, adequate because of his athleticism) and block the shit out of someone. DWAYNE WADE ANYONE?? and most importantly, get the acrobatic layups, if not DUNKS. krazy ass dunker.
