Walter McCarty Heading To Phoenix?

Thu Jan 27, 2005 6:20 pm

Real GM wrote:The talk around town is that Boston and Phoenix are very close to completing a trade that would send veteran forward, Walter McCarty to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for a future second round draft choice.

Supposedly, the trade was nearly completed last night. As of now, Boston is waiting for confirmation from Phoenix.

McCarty spoke about the potential deal saying, "I'm very excited if it does happen. The Suns are a team that's playing really well right now, and it would be a chance to win. I'm very excited. I think it's close and I just hope it follows through. I don't want to get too anxious and be disappointed if it doesn't happen."

Damn another shooter lol

Tommy Heinsohn's gonna be pissed. I can picture him randomnly shout out during a game, "I MISS WALTAH!"

I hope the trade's made after Friday, though, because that's Walter McCarty Bobblehead night.

But really, even as one of the most popular figures in Celtics Cult History, Waltah's been nothing but a disappointment this year. The reasons he's actually been able to stay in this league is because of his energy, attitude, and three-point shooting. Considering that it's his only skill, 32% from beyond the arc isn't good enough. And now that he's recently admitted to the media that he hasn't been playing with enough energy and complaining about his lack of PT, I'm glad to have him gone.

He's the prototypical 12th man. Having Steve Nash on his team won't make him any better.

lol, this is funny. The suns traded Marbury and got many picks and now they sending those picks away for players to help there team. Their GM is a genious.
