yeah, I kinda mistaked him with mashburn

blasphamy! Ron Artest and possibly Ricky Davis being snubbed for Jordan!

Wed Jan 29, 2003 7:47 am

Am I the only one glad Jordan was selected?

Possibly, the game nowadays is all about high flying dunks and playmakers. Jordan is now too old to be competing in an up tempo playground style game. Watching him clunk that dunk last year was classic though

That and the fact he didn't deserve his selection.

It's not that he didnt deserve it, it's that he probably would have preferred not to be on it. He didn't want the NBA selecting him because it's his last year. He wanted to take a vacation with his family. If they pick Jordan, then why not pick David Robinson? It will be fun to see him play since he can compete with these guys(admit it, he'd be all-star caliber if he were the first option of the Wiz)

can't blame them for selecting the greatest player of all time.

Wed Jan 29, 2003 9:06 pm

They don't select Red Auerbach for GM of the year over and over do they ;)

neither did vince carter which is really annoying
i reckon ricky davis and ron artest deserved spots over MJ and vin........Wince

Wed Jan 29, 2003 9:18 pm

Vince Carter has been selected by ignorant fans though. Jordan was voted by coaches, who are supposed to be experts on the subject.

Wed Jan 29, 2003 9:26 pm

but you agree that ricky-d and artest should be there in place of them 2 though???

alos i am so pissed ricky didnt goto dunk comp!

ron artest?
1. nobody cares about a loser who throws a camera once, then thinks he is the new tough guy in the nba by disrespecting pat riley and the miami heat, i hate him, and i hope somebody really hurts that punk.

2. players who aren't in the east all-star team that are better than ron artest: jalen rose, ricky davis, jerry stackhouse, shareef abdur-rahim, sam cassell, ray allen, glenn robinson, baron davis, jason terry, donyell marshall, eddie jones, rip hamilton, allan houston

Thu Jan 30, 2003 12:28 am

I Agree in some point JJ. All those players would be a better pick than R. Artest. Hasn't the NBA done anything yet about Ron?, he should be suspended just the same way Rasheed was, I believe he's just trying to get the attention. That's what happens when you are a good player and nobody cares what you do.

Thu Jan 30, 2003 12:33 am

Pat Riley is a big mouthed short tempered man
hence...........so is ron artest
ehem! no wonder they had an argument lol

ok, maybe someone else besides artest does deserve to be there but it dont matter coz jordan.........heck lol brad miller got his spot

Thu Jan 30, 2003 1:14 am

It's a sentimental vote.........I'd love to see MJ make up for that sorry missed dunk last year.........

(do i smell Ben in this thread?..............seriously, you did a good job with the Live2000 rosters MJ hater Ben! :P Keep up the good work! )

I didn't agree to anything... you agreed with me that Jordan didn't deserve his spot. I think Vince does deserve it.

Jan. 29

Indiana Pacers forward Ron Artest is suspended without pay for four games for confronting and making physical contact with Miami Heat head coach Pat Riley, taunting the Heat bench, committing a flagrant-foul penalty two by pushing Heat guard Caron Butler into the stands and making an obscene gesture toward fans.

Peja Stojakovic is going to substitute Weber in the All-Star Line up.
