grant hill has an MRI

... on his left wrist:

But Hill said he would play Thursday night against the Houston Rockets and former teammate Tracy McGrady.

Hill is averaging 18.8 points on 51 percent shooting for the Magic (21-16).

On Tuesday, Hill played only three minutes in the fourth quarter of the Magic's 103-101 win over the Detroit Pistons.

Orlando trailed by seven when he left the game with 6 ½ minutes remaining, then went on a 13-4 run with Hill on the bench icing his wrist. He was hurt Jan. 8, when he took a spill in a victory against New Jersey. Since then, he's averaged 15.8 points while shooting 47 percent.

A bad left ankle sidelined Hill for all but 47 games of the previous four seasons. But he's missed only one game this year, Dec. 10 at Golden State, with a bruised right shin.

Like everyone else, I thought the worst when I saw the thread title. A wrist injury still isn't good news, but from the sounds of it it's a scratch compared to what he's been through with his ankle.

Hill had 21 points on 10/16 shooting to go along with 6 rebounds in the loss to Houston today. Guess the wrist is feeling better.

not exactly. he's wearing some protective/support thing on his wrist and you could see hill wincing at times during the game. also his ft's looked pretty bad. you can't use your legs/momentum as much on a jump shot then on the FT line. it looks like he's trying to play through the pain no matter how bad it is.
