I think eddie jones is best for Miami, spree is not a 3-point shooter. Miami already has a slasher in wade so why get another one?

There's only one ball to share in New York. I don't see any of these guys averaging over 20ppg.

ok, 19 apiece then
nah, but you have to agree, Marbury, Crawford, Houston and Rose is the best backcourt ever assembled (or do I need to add IMO)

That many scorers doesnt work tho. Ask the old Mavs team and the old Blazers team. Had a ton of talent but not enough shots to go around.

It's not happening, Miami didn't agree to it.

Who would want Spree, after he made that "feed my family" comment, anyway?
Sat Jan 15, 2005 12:07 pm
a team looking for salary cap relief (atlanta sounds good)
Sat Jan 15, 2005 1:21 pm
Too bad Atlanta has nobody to trade for
Sat Jan 15, 2005 1:36 pm
They have Antione Walker

Spree's name seems to be thrown around in all sorts of rumoured deals. But as far as Miami are concerned, even if Sprewell isn't the player coming the other way, I'm a little surprised that they're willing to trade Eddie Jones. I know he hasn't been having a tremendous season offensively, but the Heat are winning right now. Why tinker when the current group are getting it done?
Sat Jan 15, 2005 9:42 pm
because his offense is inconsistent and even his defense has gotten bad. the heat would be playing even more better if the jones wasn't so crappy.
imo

Eddie Jones has become pretty consistant in the last month hes been solid and hes been doing things other than the offensive end hes been rebounding dishing out assists and even been getting a few blocks. I think hes finally found his form this year.

It is a pretty good backcourt, but to be honest, i'd take Dallas's atm over the possible knicks.
Terry,Finley,Stackhouse,Daniels,Howard,Harris is pretty impressive.

why is Eddie Jones so underrated? He is an awesome defender and can score if we needs to
Mon Jan 17, 2005 6:08 pm
^ i agree, i love EJ's game.. unselfish, plays great d and can spot up for the 3
good thing the trade didn't go through, i would hate to see donyell marshall and eddie jones leave their respective teams. they should throw away sprewell in the shitter, like the hawks or something.. i really, really cannot stand that guy
Mon Jan 17, 2005 6:54 pm
I don't know why Eddie is so underated he ran Charlotte the time he was there and the same with Miami he was their highest scorer for 4yrs straight. He is unselfish a family man and does many charitable things off court.
Mon Jan 17, 2005 7:08 pm
Because he's getting old and less capable?
Tue Jan 18, 2005 5:35 am
Because he plays like shit one game, and in the next game he scores 16, get steals, rebounds.
Tue Jan 18, 2005 11:14 am
that was at beginning of season hes been consistant the last month. EJ isn't old this is only his 10th season thats nothing these days this generation of players will most likely average 15+ seasons not the 10-12 the 1985-95 players were expected to average with medical technology to keep the players healthy longer and the fact players are getting drafted younger. J.Kidd & even G.Hill(mr injury prone) are still popular today and they were in his class of 94-95.

why is Eddie Jones so underrated?
He's not
He is an awesome defender
Was an awesome defender, still good, but not close to awesome
and can score if we needs to
He's been inconsistent with his scoring for about 3 years now, just doesn't have the explosiveness anymore.
