Miami vs Phoenix

Postby fgrep15 on Wed Jan 12, 2005 3:39 pm

Great game, but Miami was basically out of it 5 minutes into the game. Phoenix exploded early with the 40 point first quarter, and never stopped after that. Miami was keeping up, but they couldn't exceed the Suns offense.

The Suns made some tough shots though, and Amare got a lot of trips to the line.

The whole Suns team had nice games:

Nash: 16 points, 16 assists, 7-12 FG

Marion: 26 points, 11 rebounds, 5 steals, 11-22 FG YaY!!!

Amare: 34 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, 13-19 FG

Johnson: 24 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals

On the others side:

Shaq: 34 points, 11 rebounds, 2 blocks, 16-20 FG

Wade had 8 turnovers in the game, I saw about 3 early ones where he tried to force some passes, or he passed it and a teammate reacted wrongly, the worst was Damon Jones cutting to the basket on the break, then as Wade passes to him he starts to fan out to the three point line, and the ball just flies out of bounds, ouch. He did good in other areas, but 8 turnovers is eww, he's averaging about 4 on the season which isn't good. He also took some bad shots, yea he shot 9-19, but some of the shots he was taking late in the game were a little iffy, not the best of games for him.

PS: Q-Rich only took 12 three's in this game.

these Suns don't cease to amaze me, they keep blowing good teams out. Can't wait for them to meet the Pistons.

I was watching the stats on yahoo game channel and it said eddie Jones hit a shot and it had its position of where he hit it on the little court yet it still only registered as him having 6 points instead of 8 at the time did yahoo just fuck up or whats going on there?

Can't wait for the Suns to meet the Spurs, because the Spurs seem to know how to handle them, so let's see if the Suns can handle the Spurs the next time around.

The Spurs ran A LOT of picks to make Nash tired. Parker had a great game the last time they played.

Then Barbosa should get more minutes, he's a better and quicker defender. They could even go with a Nash-Barbosa backcourt. It's not like Nash containing Bowen would be hard to do.

But Nash is a big part of the offense, so if they can go into big explosions with Nash on the court before Barbosa comes in, then great.
