Right now, it's Steve Nash. Look at the near 11 assists per game he's racking up, take a look at the Suns' record, and look at how he's making his teammates look good (Amare, Marion, and Richardson).

Once Kidd is back to full health, Kidd might be right up there with Nash, who knows?

Every player has weakness. It's like saying that the best PG in the league (Jason Kidd IMO, best NBA PG when healthy) should shoot well

I would say MR. Kidd is tha new and improved John Stockton. He's a little better passer and more athletic than Stockton ever was. If his career is lengthy he should eventually dethrone Stockton as the best point guard ever. Kidd is one of tha few of the lost art of consummate team play and making your teammates better . He's very physical also and great on both ends of the court. His opencourt ability to drive to the basket is unparalleled by anyone past or the fucken present. His only weaknes is that he seems to be that shooting,i mean that if this guy could shoot tha ball he would be unstopable :!:

I hope you're kidding (no pun intended). Have you seen Stockton play in his prime? Who says John Stockton is not capable of making his teammates better (see: Karl Malone), not physical (ask anybody in the league who played against Stockton), and not have great open court awareness (14.5 apg!)? Check out John Stockton's stats:

1987-1988: 14.7 ppg, 13.8 apg, 3.0 spg, .574 FG%
1988-1989: 17.1 ppg, 13.6 apg, 3.2 spg, .538 FG%
1989-1990: 17.2 ppg, 14.5 apg, 2.7 spg, .514 FG%
1990-1991: 17.2 ppg, 14.2 apg, 2.9 spg, .507 FG%
1991-1992: 15.8 ppg, 13.7 apg, 3.0 spg, .482 FG%
1992-1993: 15.1 ppg, 12.0 apg, 2.4 spg, .486 FG%

Jason Kidd's career high in any season:

18.7 ppg (2002-2003), 10.8 apg (1998-1999), 2.39 spg (1996-1997), .444 FG% (1998-1999)

Cyanide said it all. And The G.O.A.T. finished it nicely.

How come Jason Kidd is an improved Stockton if he doesn't have the same stats that Stockton had in his career?

Kidd, no doubt!! Nash can be a monster offensively, but, like Stojakovic his defense sucks ass... Kidd can shoot, pass, steal, even rebound (he averages 6.40 Rebs a game in his entire career, thats great for a PG)..... He's simply the BEST (Y)

How come Jason Kidd is an improved Stockton if he doesn't have the same stats that Stockton had in his career?

Don't mix it up!! You can't compare any PG today to Stockton, Chilean Bitch :P

Hmm, he wasn't the one who started comparing the two Jona, it was Jason Kidd's fan Jason Kidd.

And Cyanide, I can answer the question for you, no, he hasn't seen Stockton play in his prime.

marbury is a top 5 PG. in the last 2 minutes of a game he takes over if he has to get the W. he also averages like 9 apg... plus hes a scoring machine. y r u guys talking about tony parker over marbury. ok that was 2 years ago lol, but still. i think nash is the best (this year so far), but marbury is still really good...

also, u kno whose one of the best tru pg's out there? LUKE RIDNOUR. he doesnt get enough credit. look wat hes done wit the sonics, they r #3 in the west and a top team in the nba... and ppl always say ray allen, rashard lewis duo... but ppl forget about the PG who runs that club. ridnour is a john stockton type player, if uve seen him... hes has amazing control, court awareness, and great passes. obviosuly im not saying hes the next john stockton, but he has that kind of game... and hes a great young pg to look out for in 5 years.

Marbury, like Iverson isn't a PG, he's a SG in a PG's body.

marbury is a pg. marbury never plays sg so hes a pg. AI has been playing SG all his career, so this year he playsp pg. marbury averages 8+ assists. is that not a pg?

all because he averages a bunch of assist doesn't mean he is a PG. so if shaq averaged 7 apg from gettin doubled all the time would that make him a PG? mabrury is a sg period. and iverson played pg earlier in his career, but they wanted him to play sg because he shot the ball so much and i don't think the team liked him playing pg either.
