Yeah wasn't it on Sunday afternoons or something? I remember watching Penny and Shaq playing for Orlando, then trying to do long distance dunks on my 6'5 mini hoop in the hallway during half time lol.

Yeah and you had NBA Action in there as well.
I remember getting excited when Shane Heal was "Holding Court".

AND before the lockout season when there were supposed to be games played, they showed old games instead of the ones that we were missing. I still have my recorded copy of the '98 All-Star Game somewhere.

THAT was commitment.

there's no way he's dropping to late 1st round....I have him somewhere in the 8-18 range, but I think he will slip into the late lottery (10-13)....not many talented big men come out so I can't see too many teams passing up on him....

My cousin actually crashed through a glass door as it was raining the NBA was ion but it was an ad break and we had a little suction cup ring like the ones you can get in $2 shops, and we had it on a glass door at the back of the TV room.

anyway he says to little kid me that he can dunk like Shaq or someone of the time.

anyway as hes doin the dunk but couldnt stop and went crash right into the sun room
Good thing was he only had a few minor cuts

I still mention it to him whenever we play basketball.

Lol I put my knee through the wall once, most of the injuries turnt up playing on my adjustable ring in the backyard though. We used to set it at about 8'5" and spend all day getting pissed and dunking on it. I remember one time we started playing at 9am, it started raining at 11am, started drinking at 1pm and didnt stop drinking/playing up until 3am the next day. The only way we knew where the ball had ended up after a shot was usually following the yells of "fuckin hell the cunt hit me", playing in pitch black isn't as easy as it seems (N)

haha, try catching an alleyoop pass in the dark and get hit in the face instead.

i played against some dude that plays for Australia U21's or 18's...cant remember. He was good...his team barely won. I got matched onto him and held him to 2-5.....he was 0-3 off the dribble but 2-2 in the post.....of course before that he scored 20 points. Our league is pretty strong.

Once we had this dude, average height, he hit everything he put up. He just camped out the 3 point line, got the pass, chucked it up....swish!!! He was about 17-20 3 pointers (in about 3 games) with D on him every shot, sometimes we'd dbl team him, jump as high as possible but he'd still swish it...bastard! I swear, if he was taller, had dribbles, was quick and played D he could be an NBA player

since this thread turned partly into an Andrew Bogut one maybe you guys who haven't already seen it will be interested in this....

FOXSports.com wrote:Almost any NBA talent evaluator not in Salt Lake City Monday night to watch Utah's 69-55 victory over LSU either watched it via satellite or perused a replay of the contest. And nothing they saw of 6-foot-10, 240-pound sophomore Andrew Bogut, who went for 24 points and 17 rebounds in over 40 minutes for the Utes, hampered the growing belief among draft decision makers that he is by far the leading candidate to be selected first overall in the next NBA draft in June. "And I can't even tell you there is a close No. 2 is right now,'' a Western Conference player personnel director said Thursday. Wake Forest sophomore point guard Chris Paul would seem the obvious candidate but the sentiment among most NBA scouting types is that Paul could be back in college for his junior season.

could this be the 1st Aussie drafted No. 1 overall?!? either way, he's definately moving up the draft board....now seems to firmly be a lottery pick, and a Top 5 pick....should be interesting

I really wouldn't want him to go first. It reeks of Olowokandi syndrome. Although it would put Australia back on the map as far as basketball goes (Y)

yeah, I really don't think he's good enough to be a No. 1 pick....big expectations would be placed on him not just by every NBA fan, but also by Australian media and public....

although it might help to put bball back on map a little in Oz which would be good....
