1. He's a good guy to have around the team (I seem to remember the Spurs holding onto Jack Haley for a few years)
2. He's big and he's got some skills that a lot of stiffs don't
3. He's insurance should and when Nasho and Duncan go down with injury (and they will, their luck is running out)
4. He's a good practice guy

If the Spurs get their way and get Karl Malone, it is likely Marks will be cut.... but even if he does, it wouldn't surprise me if they re-signed him again next season after Malone retires Personally I would love to see Spurs sign Malone as he would be the poison that could prevent them winning another title....
