I don't want Curry. Knicks need physical, blue-collar players to do the dirty work(like Oak used to). I haven't seen that from Curry.

Nobody wants Curry, he was supossed to have a breakout year and he has yet to show anything more than he did last year. He's not even starting anymore.

I'm all for that because TOR has interest in Reef apparently so then NY could deal Reef to TOR for VC.

That's true, though a three-way deal with the Knicks, Blazers and Raptors would probably be a little easier.

I think Jerome Williams is excellent for the dirty work, Ariza and Crawford definately are young talent (not all-stars, but how many % of the NBA becomes an all-star?).
Moreover, Marbury can't possibly be the most overrated when there are guys around like Carmelo Anthony.
But, hey... I'm a Knicks fan so maybe this opinion means nothing.

ok well, after seeing tonight's game vs. the Hawks, I must say I can't wait till Houston comes back! The amount of open J's Penny and Crawford missed, especially for 3 ( well crawford made the big 1) just makes you wonder how much better of a job Mr. H20 could of done..
a nice scoring line up of
marbury
crawford
houston
kurt thomas
muhammad

looks great when you need some points!

Are you a Knicks fan? You gotta show some more support with avatars, sigs etc. lol

Anyway I just wanted to share this,
Trevor Ariza's statline vs. the Grizzlies:
8 pts, 5 ass (no TO), 4 reb, 2 stl all in 26 minutes off the bench.
I don't know, but isn't that absolutely insane for a second rounder? I mean they're not Kobe-like numbers but I still think this is pretty f*in good for a guy like him.

Knicks have a terrible cap problem and a bunch of mediocre players. If i were IT I'd ship out Tim Thomas anywhere for next to nothing. I know it's hard but it's got to be done. This guy has had so many chances but is still stuck on the OK mode.

cap is always goign to be a issue until Allan Houston's contract is up. When his contract is up, then we can think about moving just for salary cap purposes.

The Knicks will ALWAYS have a cap problem guys, as long as Cablevision & the Dolans run this team. Their philosophy is sign free agents so the Knicks can get squeak into the playoffs, win a few games, and fill the seats at MSG in May(and fill their pockets). It's never about slowly building a young team that will be a serious contender for 7-10 years. And this lousy philosophy goes back to the mid & late 70's, when Gulf & Western owned the Knicks. There's a myth that you can't rebuild in NYC - the fans won't stand for it. TRUE fans(not the phony yuppies who don't know sh!t about basketball) won't mind, if they see the team is heading in the right direction.

Maybe Isaiah can change this, but I doubt it. He doesn't sign the checks.

I heard an ESPN report that the Vince to NY trade talks are heating up again, but I missed the details. Can someone fill me in?

Houston might return to the starting line up, possibily at SF in place of Tim Thomas. Would that be a bad move or a good one? Thomas has been very inconsistant so I think it would be nice for a change..

Houston is strong, but short. He might have trouble defending other small forwards. on offense, it would be great.

ya, but sprewell was short too...although a better defender. I guess the rotation could vary based on the opponent?

Hey man, it's up to Stephon, Houston, Tim Thomas and the other cats to step up. That's what they get paid to do.

Great win against the Wolves tonight. Can this team actually go deep in the Eastern Conference playoffs?

Wow, I couldn't believe the stat I heard on ESPN. The Knicks are 3 games over .500 for the first time since April 2001. :o

i wonder how long it'll last. The Knicks still are too weak up front and on the bench to do anything serious in the playoffs IMO.

new year, same thread, bad year so far, knicks seem to can't win a game this year 0-4 so far..although it was a tough run with miami and sac back2back..
ok portland, NO ( deny them of a 2 game winning streak!!), Bulls, Bulls ( they playing kinda good this year) are up next. If the knicks somehow lose all 4 games then Isiah will make anther big trade just like a year ago for Marbury. We could be talking Cwebb here, anything is possible lol

Last nights lost to the cavs was embarrassing, The knicks need Crawford back in the lineup.

The cavs shot 52% , 46% on threes lenny really doesnt teach these guys anything on defence, The knicks are short handed we all know with Sweetney,Crawford and penny all out but they didnt get blown out by the heat when they played there last week. The knicks need inside help on scoring and defence, something needs to be done thats for sure. Maybe its time for lenny to step down.

Everytime they're like 2 or 3 over .500 again I'm thinking, this time they'll stay above .500, but they always lose 2 or 3 straght again, at this rate they'll never go anywhere...

With the players we have you would of thought we would be alot better than a .500 team but things just aint clicking.Tim Thomas is justr starting to play well after the summer that he had so hopefully that can help push us up there when Crawford comes back.

solid win for te knicks tonight vs portland (Y)
the only funny part was the last minute of the game..portland called 2 time outs and the knicks called 1. Kinda strange in a game that was over.
And the fouling they did. The Korean guy didn't even get to score :(
