Lebron and Wade!! THE FUTURE OF THE NBA....oh yeah and melo

I bet Carmelo's pissed.......

I think Lebron is 100% definitely the better player, but that doesn't mean that Wade isn't spectacular. They are both very special players and, I think, the core of the future of the NBA. Sorry, Melo, you're special too, but your attitude won't get you much further than the All-Star game.

i was just about to make a thread like this

mine was going to be on wade and lebron playin well, but carmelo haven't even improved that much...he just averaging 19.6ppg and 6rpg and last season he averaged 21ppg and 6rpg.

yeah, and someone could make the argument that with the addition of k-mart, carmelo doesn't "have to" do as much. but i think that's the easy way out. i think that's making excuses. and you could also make the argument that 19ppg is pretty damn good. but i'm not talking about whether he's good or not. of course he is- i'm just saying how much further can he advance past good? last year- lebron, carmelo, and wade were all good. lebron and wade are progressing to another level. carmelo is staying steady at good.

his FG%, 3pt%, and FT% are all down. he's commiting more turnovers, and more fouls. and while these are all slight changes, and only after like 13 games, the point is that he's not improving as a player. his attitude is not maturing at all. he's too cocky- and that will hurt him in the end.

Look at Carmelo's FG %

Also, KingJames is just awesome this year and is going to have a good shot at MVP.

yeah adding kmart has not hurt carmelo at all. it should be helping him but it is clearly not. if melo was atleast shooting a respectable fg% he would be well over 19 a game.

Carmelo has plateaued out. He just isn't superstar material.

Not only have Wade and LeBron improved, but even Bosh and Josh Howard look to be progressing more then Carmelo.

Which brings me to a thought, Josh Howard and Marquis Daniels really deserve more attention than they are getting. Both of them were last years steals with announcers saying many time "How did these guys not get taken in the first round". I like both of these guys a lot.

But I didn't like Carmelo since the middle of last season, he's just not my kind of player.

check this out, mark my words people.....we will see a conference shift soon East will be the dominant conference.

At the pace the East is going, the East will have retain the leagues best PG (Wade) they'll have the leagues best SF (or whatever position Bron decides to play).....plus there is so much untapped potential that hopefully develops....Eddy Curry, Tyson Chandler, Kwame Brown, Al Jefferson, Emeka Okafor, Dwight Howard, Darko Milicic and plenty more.

I don't know about Bosh, his improvements aren't that impressive at the moment.

Matt, the balance of power at the top is virtually the same. Where the difference between the conferences is is the bottom 4 playoff seeds.

As for melo, id much rather him than darko on my team, and equal with wade. Melo has alot of good years and is one step away from being a superstar.

i agree with what youve been saying but i think only because you dont improve in your second year doesnt mean youve fallen off. he might improve again in a few years time to that superstar level, but i definatley expect him to be playing better ball after a few more games, i also think lenard relived pressure off anthony now his the primary defensive target.

Not really, I think people just say that because the comparison's have said it, but their not really that similar, Glenn is a better shooter, and they don't really play the same way except for hogging.

James is like Jordan, he can score, rebound, pass, etc...
Although 'Melo can score and rebound, he doesn't pass as LeBron does.
Wade is also very strong, this trio will be NBA's best players when Kobe, McGrady, Carter, Garnett, Duncan or somebody else will retire.

I agreed. Carmelo Anthony is just another Glenn Robinson but with different style of play.

im a huge lebron fan and everyone is saying the right things about him at the moment. last year melo had all the great comments going his way since he was going to the playoffs etc etc. its way to early to start passing judgment on him this early he was pretty spectacular at moments last season and has gotten off to a bad start this year. we are not even a quarter of the way through the year and people are already going back to the g-rob comparison, which by the way is pretty accurate though melos game might have more longevity than g-moneys. when robinson was young he could shoot, he could get up and throw one down, and put alot of points on the board while also grabbing 6-8 rebounds a night. all pretty similar to melo but melo may still be able to bend over to tie his shoes when hes 30 and play defense unlike glenn.moral of the story is.. dont pass judgment yet.

melo and grob shoot kind of the same way and both of them wear mid socks and sometime grob would wear longer socks  carmelo is just more athletic than grob and thats what separates them.

Melo's just a better looking Glenn Robinson (y)

Nah Melo's got alotta talent but hes getting involved in alotta negative things right now....hes gotta get his discpline checked and his image in good territory ...oh yeah and hes gotta learn to PASS and play DEFENSE and also respect his team-mates and take off the huge ego of his that makes him thinks he Scottie Pippen or someone of that calibre(though he has kinda reduced his ego a bit).

actually nbadraft.net's comparison of carmelo to glenn robinson/antoine walker is pretty much accurate in my opinion..

he's similar to robinson because they got killer jumpshots and know how to work it offensively

he's like antoine walker because he doesn't know the meaning of being cold. he could be 1-12 in the first 3 quarters and still jack up another 12 shots in the 4th

lol yeah i suppose your right about his d right now, he does have potential to play some great d.. but then so do most people in the league but dont do it. dudes been in hella trouble the last few months if you dont think that effects a persons game your wrong. these comparisons were given during and after the draft but during most of the season people went back to that crazy magic johnson comparison. its real easy to hate on someone when they are having a rough stretch.
