Postby Jona on Sun Nov 28, 2004 1:33 am

hello!
I just read in a thread that Miami Heat players aren't allowed to wear headbands in their games cause it's team policy!!
What's up with that?? any good reasons??? thanks in advance! :D

No headband fits around Shaqs head, so it would be unfair if the rest of the team would wear headbands while Shaq cant.

They could always just tie a beach towel or something around Shaq's head if he felt like wearing a headband.

Come to think of it..... it seems the lakers don't have anyone wearing headbands either... team policy? and I don't think I've seen anyone in Houston or San Antonio wear a headband either.

He did? When?

During the 2001/2002 season against Minnesota when they were wearing the retro MPLS Lakers jerseys.

Didn't he wear one like 8 games in a row, because he started playing great with it on.

Anyway, I know that Damon Jones usually wears a headband, but never really thought of it.

team policy? that's stupid.....if a player is comfortable with a headband then he should wear it.

Remember the 76ers, AI made everyone wear headbands, even Mutombo, haha, that was funny.

I think Van Horn was funnier

its kinda stupid indeed....cause Dooling has been wearing a headband for life...even DJ... stupid cause not only do headbands add to style but they stop sweat dripping into your eyes.

Iverson didn't make everyone wear them..It was in honor of some player and after that AI started to wear it.

well i remember the whole team wearing them on-court and the commentator said something about AI n stuff

anyways, i wonder if the Heat will reverse team policy if Dwyane Wade goes up for a championship winning shot, and open mid range shot, but misses because sweat drips into his eyes thus blurring his vision! It could happen
