Struggling Hawks (4-10) To host losing Lakers (7-6)
ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Los Angeles Lakers have lost their second straight game against the Denver Nuggets last night, and with that loss they have a 1-5 record on the road. As they will face the Atlanta Hawks, a team that had a slow start in the season and ranks among the worst teams in the league and might be the easiest team to beat so far for the Lakers.

The Hawks led by Antoine Walker who ranks third in the league in points per game with 27.1 a game and is the second leading rebounder with 14.4 boards a game, Walker also lead his team in scoring, rebounding, blocked shots and assists. The Hawks are 1-5 at home, and are looking to stop their 2 games losing streak as they lost games against the Chicago Bulls and against the Detroit Pistons as they lost that game by as many ass 56 points. The Lakers are coming off tough losses during their road trip against the Kings Sunday and the Denver Nuggets last night.

Lakers (8-6) To play Hawks (5-11) for second straight time
LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- After beating the Hawks by 10 points to stop the Lakers 2 game losing streak, the Lakers are looking to win the season series over the Hawks as they will play them once again. This time at the Staples Center in Los Angeles as the Lakers will play in their sunday white uniforms.

Lamar Odom led the Lakers to a victory on Thursday as he played his best game of the season with 32 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists. Just 1 assist shy of a triple double as he scored 13 points and grabbed 5 boards in the opening quarter. After leading most of the game, the Hawks made a few scoring runs but it wasnt enough to get a win against the Lakers.

Antoine Walker scored 18 points, way below his season avarage and only grabbed 6 boards. The Hawks are counting on Walker to step up if they are planning to take this game.

This will be the last time both teams meet this season, unless they both find a way to make the NBA Finals in 2005.

Shaq's Miami Heat (10-5) vs Kobe's Lakers (9-6)
MIAMI (Ticker) -- The Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat made the biggest deal during the offseason and perhaps the biggest deal the league has seen in a few years, as the Los Angeles Lakers traded center Shaquille O'Neal to the Miami Heat in exchange for Lamar Odom, Brian Grant and Caron Butler. After leading the Lakers to 4 NBA Finals series in 5 years and winning 3 championships during a three-peat run from 2000 to 2002, former MVP Shaquille O'Neal will face his former team for the very first time as the Miami Heat will host the Los Angeles Lakers during retro night.

The Miami Heat will play in the teams home white uniforms which they played in before switching to their new designed uniforms from 1988 to 1999, while the Los Angeles Lakers will wear their away blue 1962/1963 uniforms which where worn during the days when Hall of Famers such as Elgin Baylor and Jerry West used to play for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant didnt have the best offseason together, as many believed that Kobe Bryant forced Shaquille O'Neal out of Los Angeles, while O´Neal has been busy dissing Bryant and Lakers GM Mitch Mitch Kupchak on a rap track. Tonights game might be the most anticipated match of the season.

The Miami Heat has won their last 5 games, while the Los Angeles Lakers are coming off a 2 game winning streak against the Atlanta Hawks. The Lakers have a 2-5 record for their away games and will face the Heat and the Kings on the road for the next 2 games.

Miami 106, LA Lakers 103
Heat beats LA with crusial score

Miami, Tue. 30 Nov (Ticker) -- When the Los Angeles Lakers traded center Shaquille O'Neal to the Miami Heat for Lamar Odom, Brian Grant and Caron Butler, the big question was; Which team ended up better after the trade? For now the answer is the Miami Heat.

As the Miami Heat routed the Lakers to a 106-103 loss during retro night when both teams were wearing uniforms that were used years or decades ago by the franchises. The Lakers who played in their blue 60's uniforms started the game with a 4-0 run before the Miami Heat started scoring and put the score on 8-4 in favour for the Heat. Eddie Jones was on fire from the field troughout the game as he scored 9 of his team high 34 points in the opening quarter. Jones didnt only did the part on the offensive end, on defense he gave former teammate Kobe Bryant a hard time as Bryant only shot 2 from 7 in the first quarter and connected on just 1 out of 5 three-point attempts

Shaquille O'Neal scored 10 of his 29 points in the first quarter along with 3 of his team high 5 blocked shots. The Lakers bigmen had trouble trying to stop the most dominant force in the NBA as he was able to get various potential three-point plays and connected on 5 from 7 free-throw attempts. O'Neal also finished the game with a gamehigh 11 rebounds which was tied with Lamar Odom who also collected 11.

Lamar Odom played his first game versus the Heat since being traded to the Lakers, and he once again showed off his versitality as he played about 4 positions and scored a season high 38 points, grabbed 11 boards and was just 2 assists shy of a triple double with 8 dimes.

Troughout the game it was Miami that was leading by mostly double figures as they had their biggest lead in the 3th quarter as they led the Lakers by 17 points, but LA wouldnt give it up just like that. The Lakers fought their way back in the game as they came from being behing by 17, to being up by 1 point late in the final quarter. Shaquille O'Neal was fouled on a shot attempt and he made 1 out of 2 free throws. Devean George who made 2 straight three-point shots earlier, missed his third attempt as the Heat got the rebound and were able to score on a 3-point basket by Dwyane Wade with 16 seconds left. Lamar Odom tried to draw the defenders and pass it out, but the ball was reflected by Shaquille O'Neal as Eddie Jones picked up the lose ball to get the 3 point win.

The Miami Heat expanded their winning streak to 6 games, as the Lakers sufferd once again another away loss which makes it a 2-6 record on the road. The Lakers will play the #1 team in the NBA Sacramento Kings on the road tomorrow. The Heat and Lakers will meet eachother on 03/01/2005 as the Lakers will host the Heat at Staples Center.

D-Wizzle does it again. Not a very good shooting day for him but he makes it when it matters. And Odom stepping up biiig. Thinking of any transactions before the trade deadline hits?

I was thinking to get a better shooting point guard coming off the bench, since Tierre Brown isnt a good shooter and is kinda slow.

As everyone seems to suggest, what about Damon Jones, he does fit the discription of what you want.

Brilliant Recaps dude, tough loss to Miami.

I was actually thinking about getting Derek Fisher back, I have players like Slava and Luke Walton on the Injured list which I dont really need. Maybe I can trade some of those players that I dont use but are good for trade bait to get Fish and give him a starting job, not that Atkins is playing bad but he would be a good blow from the bench.

Strong Kings (14-3) host Lakers (9-7) at Arco Arena
SACRAMENTO (Ticker) -- After losing another away game against the Miami Heat last night, the Los Angeles Lakers are facing another tough competition as they face the Sacramento Kings, a team that defeated the Lakers by 18 points the last time they met in Sacramento.

Although Mike Bibby was injured during that game and got limited minutes from Kings coach Rick Adelman, he was still able to score 17 points and dish out 4 assists. Now that everyone is healthy, the Kings are looking to give the Lakers a hard time as they are the best team at the moment in the NBA with a 14-3 record and nearly perfect at homecourt, while the Lakers are having a tough 2-6 record on the road while being 7-1 at their homecourt.

The Lakers lost a game against the Miami Heat last night during retro night in Miami by a big three-pointer by sophmore guard Dwyane Wade. After leading the game by 17 points, the Heat gave away their lead as
the Lakers were able to get it into a 1 point lead just before Wade hit the potential game winning shot.

The Kings are looking to win their third straight win after losing their third game in Cleveland by 3 points.
