Individual Team Forums

Is it possible to have individual team forums so Laker fans can talk about their team as well as any other fans of different teams?I know this is a site dedicated to NBA Live, but since there's a general discussion forum about the NBA, I thought it could be possible to have individual forums for each team.

This is what I posted at .org re: this topic:

IMO neither of the NBA Live related forums (.org, NLSC) are active enough for this sort of thing... mainly due to the fact that they're actually video game forums essentially. It works on forums that are purely dedicated to the NBA (i.e RealGM).. and that's because those sites are purely NBA websites thus people joining want to talk about the NBA (and not a video game).

There's just not enough demand for this sort of thing here, I think RealGM.com is probably the best place if you're looking for individual team forums.

Yeah, Real GM is nice, but it would be cool if you could talk NBA Live and the actual NBA all in one message board.

You could just do what they do at MaddenMania.

Make an "Official [insert team here] thread" for every team and have people post in those threads. However there doesn't really seem to be a lot of fans for every team so a lot of threads might just go to waste.

No point in making a Nets thread...

i honestly believe that people should just make a thread for a certain team. i see a lakers thread out there, we could have some for other teams.

www.realgm.com, is probably your best option but as Sauru said you can always make a team thread on NLSC.

I agree with Sauru. I think it's better if people create their own "Official Team Threads"... that way we won't get threads for teams who no one cares about, nor will post in. Like New Jersey, as mentioned above :D

Thanks....

I might just go and make that thread, then you'll see...900 New Jersey Nets posts all by me, arguing with me and giving myself advice.

hey guys, i saw this and decided...hey, why not?

i went ahead and created a new forum for nba live gamers to talk more about the real nba (with individual team forums), i hope lots of people go sign up. ---i think we should all sign up with our NLSC names

btw, where could i post this as it's own thread without being accused of double posting? lol....also- i in no way want to take any glory from the NLSC, this board is my life- I just think it's a good idea (Y)

As Jae said, there really isn't enough demand for 30 individual team forums in addition to NBA Talk. While discussions about a certain NBA team don't have to be restricted to a single thread, a general thread for each team wouldn't be so bad. They wouldn't be stickied though, as they'd push the rest of the topics down more than half the page.
