Here's the ladder thus far:

P W L
Kings 10 8 2
Hawks 9 7 2
Wildcats 8 6 2
36ers 8 5 3
Pirates 7 3 4
Razorbacks 8 3 5
Crocodiles 8 3 5
Breakers 8 3 5
Bullets 11 4 7
Tigers 9 3 6
Taipans 10 3 7

After a slow start, Kings import Mark Sanford has finally come good and is playing really well (Y)

Hey... do u guys know about the NBL point system? Do u think its fair and should it be implemented into other leagues?

And how does it work, do players sign for long term contracts?

Frankly, I think it's needlessly complicated and totally unnecessary. I really hope that the NBA never takes on an idea like it, though I doubt they ever would. It just seems really silly to me - the salary cap should be enough. If a club can't manage their personnel well enough so that their talent pool remains even with the rest of the league, that's their own fault.

I went to Tigers/Taipans tonight, bottom of the ladder clash! First game I've gone to in quite a while... $24 for a ticket.... kiss my ass!

The Tigers pulled away in the fourth for a double digit win. The second quarter (I think) showed a classic Gaze to Copeland alley!! Coudn't believe it! :) Gaze had a nice stretch with 8 points in a row that was pretty crucial. Damn the Tigers are old and slow!

damn you have to pay that much for a game haha damn we pay $15 for an adult and $10 a student for a Bullets game, plus we get to watch the games closer to the action no nose bleed sections at the library.

Bullets 1st 2 wins in a row this season was a long time coming good to see them somewhat back on track.

The Brisbane Bullets overcame a determined Cairns Taipans outfit 108-105 in a final quarter epic at the Cairns Convention Centre on Sunday night.

The teams were locked throughout the game with no more then six points separating the two teams during the match.

Hmm I thought I had posted about the Bullets game in this thread tonight but i can't seem to find that post.

Tonights Bullets game was good 3 milestones were broken tonite Simon Kerles 5000 career points, Stephen Blacks 2000 career points and 3rdly Bullets 3rd straight win of the year season best for them so far. Some nice dunks during game and warm ups including a lebron James like dunk by Kevin Freeman. I got a pic of Freemans windmill during warmups at bottom of my post. Bullets lead for most of the game Wildcats did come back at times but couldn't capatilize. All in all was a great game.

Bullets had a dominant 118-90 victory over the Hunter Pirates at the Brisbane Convention Centre on Saturday night. Kerle and Rucker where hitting them for behind the 3pt line at will, Freeman was scoring and rebounding at will. The game was highly entertaining 1 of the best i've watched this season.

yes and also was a fairly detailed summary of the game, it was fair to both sides not just my usual 1 sided comments. Good to see someone else post in this thread again it's been dead the last few days.

If we play better than we did tonight we just sucked how did we lose....I dunno. we have 2 tough games in a row hawks and then kings....thats good the hawks game is on sunday coz i maybe at a concert saturday night and was hoping that i wouldn't miss a game. The game against the kings will be a awesome game coz i will be 23 and getting fucked up on hennessey and barcardi 151 out of my sterling silver pimp cup. Tonites game was terrible i had to have a few drinks after the game with the bullets staff i work with for the website after the game just to forget about the loss.

Unpatriotic as it sounds, I'm having a difficult time getting interested in the NBL now that the NBA season has started. Having said that, I just checked up on the results today and am amazed at how well the Pirates are doing. 6-7, good for sixth in the league and that would see them earn a playoff berth. They'll also be showing two Pirates games this week on Fox.

Pirates win again! A .500 record keeps them in the top eight. My preference of the NBA aside, it's nice to see one's home team doing well after a dismal inaugural season.

Man i can't believe how many hunter pirates players actually look like pirates with their red headbands and long ratty hair...me and my friend were pissing ourselves laughing at how much they did look like pirates.
