I cant beleive this!!!
I found out that the NBA On ESPN has been cut back from 2 games a week to 1

and I for one am pissed off about it
and our mid week game has been replaced by NFL

I mean why cant they show 2 games a week?
Why cant they show one less soccer game a week?
or less darts or less bull riding?

same goes for Fox sports 1 and 2
Im sure people wouldnt miss the 47th division 3rd tier Brazilian soccer game every week

its a disgrace

Umm, maybe you should check again. Games are now shown on Thursday and Saturday (not wednesday and saturday) So the Cavs and the Suns are playing tommorow.

Sorry to bust the nuts of the Aussies on the board, but here in the Philippines, we get to watch 14 NBA games in a week! And that's not thru some special access, that's just through regular cable TV subscription. Here's the breakdown:

Solar Sports (7) - one game everyday of the week plus a lot of NBA features and classic games thru a show called "Hardwood Classics."

Channel 9 (3) - This is on free TV, games are shown on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Sports Plus (2) - That's an Eastern conference game on Tuesday and a Western conference game on Wednesday.

Star Sports (1) - Every Friday. We probably get to watch the same game on this channel.

ESPN (1) - Ditto but on a Saturday.

I didn't add a Japanese channel, BS 1, that also airs some random NBA game. Can't hold of their skeds 'coz it's in Japanese.

now playing: CRADLE OF FILTH - Filthy Little Secret

Back in October I would check ahead daily on Foxtel's website and they had a fairly consistent NBA schedule set for this year. However, it has been somewhat erratic since the season began. A couple of times NBA Action has been scheduled to be shown and has been replaced at the last minute by such programs as the Spinvitational Tour and F1 racing.

They've done in once again: NBA Action was supposed to be shown at 11:30 AM tomorrow and it's been replaced by an NFL Films production. International Rugby has been scheduled for 12 PM, originally that slot was to be filled with the Suns vs Cavs game. They've also been showing the 2003 World Poker Championships - 2003! That slot could surely be given to the NBA.

I too am somewhat disappointed with this turn of events - as if putting the price up $3 per month wasn't bad enough (I know that doesn't sound like much, but I am on a somewhat strict budget at the moment). I still haven't received my November magazine either, and I am paying for it. It's still worth the investment, but they've been pretty slack lately.

A petition would probably more effective, but I still doubt that anything would be done.

I was at work so I can't say for sure, but the 8 PM replay slot is showing International Rugby (which was advertised live at 12 PM, billed about a month ago as the Live: NBA Wednesday slot), so I'm guessing it wasn't. A glance ahead at the Foxtel website also shows no more NBA after this Saturday until December 3rd: I seriously hope this is a mistake.

By the way, NBA Action is scheduled for 7:30 PM tomorrow and 1:30 AM Saturday morning. Last week both slots were replaced at the last minute by something else. Let's see if it happens again.

Yep, the live game or replay wasn't on. To watch the basketball was really the main reason why I have Foxtel, and if they stop showing it I dont see why I'll continue with it.
