Seattle is doing surprisingly well.

I say San Antonio is the best, despite that loss to Seattle they are looking strong.

Wolves and the Pistons, followed closely by Spurs, Heat and Mavs.

why wouldn't Indiana be up there? You have Heat, you have yet to play a capable team but no Indy

I'd say Utah have to be the best team at the moment, they're 4-0 and have beaten some pretty good teams in the process. Actually, apart from Golden State they've beaten three play off teams. As far as the word team goes it's got to be Detroit, every box score of theirs I see the entire starting five scores in double figures and someone contributes off the bench too. However, best team in the NBA right now is the Utah Kirilenko's.

It's still too early. Some teams may be a little more settled early than others. Utah can't be the best team after 4 games, crikey people are trying to jump on the bandwagon early!

Scores seem to be up somewhat, apart from todays portland/nj disaster which is good!

Why not? They've played 4 games, and smashed the teams they've played in every one. So after 4 games they'd be the best team... after 5 games it might be someone else. I put forth Seattle (just trying to jump another bandwagon before everyone else does :D )

Detroit needs more bench production, but that will come with better reserve rotation....and yes all starters have scored dbl figures in all games....even Ben Wallce who's getting a dbl dbl

Watch Phoenix play a team with a PF and they'll lose. Right now they are playing small ball but when they play SAS Marion won't do at PF.

I'm already on the Jazz bandwagon.....they have Kirilenko who defies all laws, Okur, Harpring, Arroyo and McLeod (who kicked ass in my 2004 franchise)

The Hornets of course ... that 0-4 start is just to fool everybody ... we will win the NBA Championship

No seriously ... as far as stats go, the Jazz, Suns, Heat and Pacers are the best, as they are the only ones still unbeaten. But if they are really the best remains to be seen ... preferably June next year :D.

if you say at this moment, no doubt its the jazz just by looking at the stats and standing. but i still say its the spurs. just how they play show what a championship caliber their team are.

and lastly i can say the lakers (just always need to include in every topic) if we look at expectations. everyone or lets say most of people say this team will be go down the drain and will be a lottery team, well were 3-2 with 3 games was almost a blow-out, also they lost though.

and some team are overrated, even if your unbeatable but wait you played against what, a team try to rebuild using draft picks, a team headed by an overly hype sophomre player and twice against a lottery team where the greatest player once played. just lets see how they will fair against a team like dallas, spurs and minny in the next few games...

suns in the west
pacers in the east

Watch Phoenix play a team with a PF and they'll lose. Right now they are playing small ball but when they play SAS Marion won't do at PF.

imo the suns will start having problems when they face teams with good perimeter shooting. phx is stacked with athleticism, enabling them to play zone, trap interior players and still be able to rotate back to the perimeter.

its obvious the transition game is their strength. with that known, none of their opponents still have not been able to control game tempo

sonics started 8-2 in 2002-2003 and missed the playoffs soo it's a bit early to tell ;)
i think it's too early now, you gotta remeber, some teams that look good now played teams such as the hawks and well, that's like a free win.
