NBA2K25 Extract Files GUI

With PowerShell, i made a Graphical User Interface for NBA 2K25 to extract game files.

file is safe but is considered as (false) positive by some antivirus programs ; whitelist it or dont use it. here's virustotal result : https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/59f ... ?nocache=1

Update 1.3 is released



1.3.1 Release note :
- add CFs list button for quick reference
- remove the cancel/ok button when closing the program
- virustotal score

Notes :
- Drop the program in your NBA2K25 directory if you had issue with previous version
- tool extracts files in <steam>\NBA 2K25\mods path and will overwrite without asking, so take care to not overwrite a previous work
- for example, if you just enter png, the tool will extract ALL the CFs ... and it's going to last for a while

you should have a log file in <steam>\nba 2K25\mod

"Cannot bind argument to parameter "Path" because it is an empty string"

gui will look in windows registry for NBA2K25 InstallLocation in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Steam App 2878980\

Hmm. I have it installed on f:/Steamlibrary/...
Is it possible to tell the gui where you have installed the game?

Like i said, it calls the Steam installation path from "Windows Registry"

Here's a .reg file to tell the gui where the game is installed.
Unzip
Edit the reg file with notepad
change the 2K25 path if necessary.
Then save, double clic on reg file.

No, it extracts the file(s) directly into <nba 2K25>\mod
The tool uses 2k's mod.exe, and i dont think we can specify another output path

I just released v1.1

Whats new ? user input is less restrictive and will read the manifest ; mods folders isnt auto. open and program auto. closed.

Yeah, would be nice if we could as I sometimes want to look at the default file after a change but thanks anyway

The window constantly opening and closing is a pain...stops me playing games or typing or anything really.

You probably input too many entries or too generic entries
As long a the black console screen popup, as long it extracts files

Windows treats the new version as a virus and won't even download it.

Known problem mentionned in the release, whitelist it or use the previous version

This was very helpful! Already exported 150+ portraits and that would have been painful with the default export function
