Yes, it'll still trigger a false positive from anti-virus software, and the in-built Windows security. You'll need to create an exception for it to override that.

NBA 2K18 isn't supported. RED MC is for NBA 2K13 and NBA 2K14 only. I'm not sure what's going on with the NBA 2K14 file, as the Xbox 360 version is supported as per the readme.

It's supposedly still possible to add exceptions to Windows Security in Windows 11, as per this guide: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/add-an-exclusion-to-windows-security-811816c0-4dfd-af4a-47e4-c301afe13b26#ID0EBF=Windows_11

I'd recommend adding an exception for the entire folder where RED MC is installed. That's what I did in Windows 10, and I haven't had any issues since. You may also need to add an exception for the RED MC installer .exe in the first place to complete the installation. The false positives are annoying, but I will give Windows Security some credit here as it's better to be safe than sorry. It's just unfortunate that some legitimate programs have similar behaviour to viruses and malware.

If all else fails though, an older PC with a previous version of Windows (or an older version of Windows running on a virtual machine, if you have the knowhow and the installation media on hand) is probably the only other solution.

PC file or X360? Try to open original 2k roster. If it opens then either your file is corrupted or redmc doesn't support x360 files even if it should according to readme.

1* go to your settings on your search engine and you have to deactivate your security check 2* you absolutely have to deactivate everything on Windows security I don't know how you explained it but go to YouTube and search for how to install red Mc safety for nba 2k14 its better for you to see tuto, i had this problem before but now its okay for w10 or 11 it will resolve it

Plenty of mods are being made for the newer games as well. NBA 2K14 remains popular though because it was a strong release that people still enjoy playing, and it can also be modded fairly easily with the resources that have been built up over the years.

I'm trying to change the colors so that the bandages and sleeves are a different color, but for some reason it doesn't work.
Can I change team colors?

Probably for court color in practice facility in myplayer mode, but not sure.
For jerseys there are Team Color 1 is a main color of accessories, Team Color 2 is a secondary color of accessories and Team Color 3 is a headband. Team Color 0 is for shoes. Team Color 4 and 5 are numbers (when you have two color numbers like Warriors).
