I’m trying to use this on the steam deck but I don’t get any F8 prompts,I put everything in the NBA 2k23 folder ,is it compatible

You need to use Proton Tricks to set it to use dinput8.dll. That will get hook to work but the next problem is I can't work the hook gui on steam deck. The mouse cursor doesnt work and I cant select any of the hook menus. The good news is all the mods work though.

Is there a way to unlock edit player in the MyGM mode? I prefer playing MyGM with the RPG elements but its killing me that you can't edit players shoes or anything.

yep i got it to load up but like you i cant toggle anything

Apologies, I read Steam not Steam Deck.

You don't need Proton Tricks to get the hook to work on Steam Deck. All you need to do is go to the game on the home screen/library, choose options, then properties. Under the General tab type this line in Launch Options:

WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8.dll=n,b" %command%

That's it. The Hook will now work without any issues.

Google drive has banned my account due to the DMCA of NBA2K_Hook and Tools ..... I reuploaded the file to the download section.

You are using english.iff from 2k22, delete it from your Mods folder.

The thing is sometimes when you press "play" on Steam there's a delay of 15-20 seconds from the moment you press the button until the game finally starts, and most of the times I am experiencing this issue NBA2K_Hook doesn't load properly (nothing happens when pressing F8). Please let me know if anyone has had this problem.

About the delay, I think it is a bug in nba2k video setting handler. Try to delete C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\2K Sports\NBA 2K23\VideoSettings.cfg

Otherwise I belive there was something called MyLeague+ for 2k22

Is it possible that save players edit on official roster?

any way to incorporate draft files into the mod folder? I can't seem to get local/remote folders no matter what I do so I can't access any roster/draft files is offline
