2004/2005 Season Day-by-Day NBA Predictions

Postby NNpF on Thu Nov 04, 2004 9:56 am

With so many games to be played today I wanted to know which teams you guys think will come out on top. Here are my predictions:

Rockets vs Raptors -- Raptors
Bucks vs Magic -- Magic
Pacers vs Cavaliers -- Cavaliers (Injuries to Pacers)
Sixers vs Celtics -- Sixers
Heat vs Nets -- Heat (If Shaq plays)
Wizards vs Grizzlies -- Grizzlies
Mavericks vs Hornets -- Mavericks
Knicks vs Timberwolves -- Timberwolves
Kings vs Spurs -- Spurs
Hawks vs Suns -- Suns
Lakers vs Jazz -- Lakers
Sonics vs Clippers -- Clippers
Blazers vs Warriors -- Blazers
____________________________________________________________

Top Scorer -- Dirk Nowitzki
- Bad Matchup against a not very athletic P.J. Brown. Dirk also proved he can score against an "elite" PF in Chris Webber.

You guys want to add anything else, go ahead, like assist leader or whatever. I want to hear what you guys think.

You were lucky with the Bucks - Magic one.
Redd scores the jumper with 3 sec to go to give the bucks the 1 point lead.
But Francis scores just in time :(

Those damn Grizzlies pissed me off! The Wizards didn't have nothin on their team and they let Jamison score 34 pts, dixon 28!!!! The fans were mad and Hubie was mad because I could see him turning red in the huddle. I know the Grizz will win their next game against the Rockets, because whenever we play that bad at home, we will most likely win the next home game.

Orlando was impressive, and Francis back to great form. Including that great gamewinning shot with 0.2 left. 26 points, 9 boards and 7 assists. Grant Hill played 33 minutes for 20 points, nice to see him back.
I was really impressed with Dwight Howard who got 12 points, 10 boards, 4 blocks and 3 steals. Magic looked good, and I'd say there the sleeper of the east.

Lakers are getting ripped by Utah at the moment, down by 21 points with a couple minutes to go in the 3rd. Kobe has 23 points, next best for the lakers is 6
Very unlike the first game, where Mihm and Butler were having good games. Credit to Utah though, Boozer is having a great first game with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Kirilenko has 11 points and 6 blocks!

Lakers were dismal in there 104-78 loss to the Jazz, they only shot 29 percent from the floor.

The reason Kobe had one assist was because LA shot so crap from the field... Shaq had 16 and 7 in little time... Go Juan Dixon.

About the Magic game.. Dwight Howard had 21 and 10 I believe... pretty awesome!

man the Jazz r scary....they might give the T-Wolves are run for the Northwest.

hmm well its early days so u cant really predict the season....remember the Hornets last season. B Diddy for MVP turned into B Diddy can he survive !! :scold:

I think the Lakers can take 7th or 8th spot in the West but they'll need more phenomenal nites like that put up by Chris Mihm against the Nuggets.

Rockets dont seem to be clicking at all....so much for dynasty but as I said its just the beginning.

How about Dixon and Jamison, damn I think Jamison is all star bound this season...hes got his Own team I guess well at least till Hughes and Arenas return. :applaud:

And the Clippers got off to a winning start, is this their year

its gonna be an exciting season, tmrw they gonna show the Heat vs Cavs but its in the morning here and I have classes..... ...oh well I guess ill have to watch the Rockets take on the Grizz on sat mornin...... :D

I'm in Australia and on Foxtel on channel ESPN, they have the Rockets vs Grizzlies game on Saturday too. But dont think a Cavs vs Heat game is on.

Hey Skip, where did you get that info? I finally got Foxtel about a month ago in preparation for the new season and had been putting together a schedule from the TV guide at the Foxtexl website, but now neither the online TV guide nor the onscreen TV guide shows any NBA games scheduled on ESPN. :?

Unfortunately my Foxtel magazine hasn't been sent to me yet, so a member from the online league that I'm in told me the dates of the games on.

Fair enough. My magazine hasn't arrived yet either, which is why I'm still relying on the two online versions of the guide. As long as it hasn't been dropped from the ESPN International lineup. (Y)

Wow, not bad. I got 10 right 3 wrong.

Man, I watched the Nets game and they are an absolute mess. I wouldn't be surprised if Charlotte and Atlanta beat them with Kidd out. And why is Eric Williams the starting PF? And I think they should start Best over Vaughn.

Anwyays, I'll make the predictions for todays games in a while.

I hope people don't start making a daily "Who do you think will win tonight" every night.

If you guys want to do that for all the games of each night, just make one thread & sticky the biatch.
