I had football so the wait didn't really bother me. I just can't stand it during that period after basketball and football where there are no sports to watch.

Detroit win 87-79, getting just 6 points from their bench (Dice was ejected, haha)

Mavs won 107-98, Nowitzki just went crazy on the Kings (33 and 10 i think)

what's up with the Lakers, Mihm has 17 and Kobe only two, and yet they lead by 15
Go Kobe!

Kobe had a selfish night with 7 assist (N)

I hated that trade before the preseason started but after the first preseason game against Gay Allen's sonics where Mihm rejected 6 shots, i realized he wasnt a Travis Knight type of player. stupid me

nice win....looks like Lakers don't need Shaq, they have Mihm....25 and 12 AND he made FT's

I wonder how Lakers will play against a team that has a defensive stopper....Bowen, Artest, Hassell, Prince

They look playoff material but unless somebody steps up big time advancing will be tough. Like i said before, this is the season that Kobe seperates himself from T-Mac

LA cruised thru this one...Denver wasnt in gear at any point..and Voshon leaving didnt help..tough break for them.

Wanted to see more of Odom though...he's better than what he did today.

I didnt watch the game but man, looking at the stats it seems Mihm was dominant.
Kobe paced himself with only 14 shots, he hit only 5 though but managed a nice 25,7,4,3 game.
Odom seemed to be a bit of a let down, and im surprised??? did any1 actually see it???
Coz the Lakers holding the Nuggets to 78 points???
Did they play good D or Denver were just shocking??

And btw, Go Cookie :)

i'm happy that Lakers win and it give us lakers fans things to look up in this season.

just some of my view.

Lakers play good team defense against denver but also denver was struggling. struggling coz they were in off-night, they struggle coz its just the first game of the season, or struggling coz of lakers defense. maybe all of this.

on offense they move the ball well and push the ball when they can. i like the alley-hoop pass by kobe to caron. some lob-pass to mihm just like what they do with shaq. some high-low play by cook and mihm and the pick and pop by atkins/brown and cook which resulted few open shot for cook.

also as i said i like bobbits than brown, well in this game he prove me wrong, nice job handling the point. he done some penetrating then passing to an open teammate.

and yeah odom struggle offensively but pulled down 13 rebounds. not bad... he just hope he find his game as soon as possible.

but its thr first game of the season, team now see what mihm can do given the oppurtunity. most of team will do some defensive tactics when they play lakers and will see it today against Utah. its up to mihm to response to that defense and if he can do well then we can say he found a decent player at the post. decent coz we all know we rather see shaq at the middle that anyone else.

i hope injury wont bother our team. we just saw one player got his season ended and will affect denver in their campaign this season. if we can be injury-less or just few minor injuries then were in good season drive.

also another things will be consistency, i hope the new guys can do it for at least 82 games. in the game we saw some sloppy plays of lakers which let nuggets brought the lead down.

and last it all about kobe, he can do wonder for this team, not just offensively but like as he did last game. finding teammates, being unselfish (the hardest thing to do) and being a leader. where kobe goes lakers follow. just like that block to miller. if kobe do hussle like that there's no reason other lakers wont do that.

ok laker fans, before you have an orgasm over mihm, realize he wont do this consistantly. Why? that's his problem, consistancy. He'll give you games like this, and he'll give you games where he scores 5 points. but what ever, continue to enjoy mihm on his mini hot streak, it wont last very long.

Maybe.

He played very well so far in nearly every preseason game and the season opener. I dont know what he will do in the upcoming games, but he definetly deserves the credit for what he has shown so far, hopefully he can keep it up like that.

Hehe, that's why I won't apologise about my comments about Mihm just yet. His consistancy is what I'm doubting. Sure, wow...nice stats, can he maintain them? Dunno. If he can, woopity doo, another post presence for us. (Not comparing, no comparison.)

Anywho's, after 12 games if he's still averaging these stats, I'll eat my words.
