Still enjoying the presentation and storylines! One other historical quibble that may have already been addressed: blocks and steals weren't officially recorded until the 1973-74 season, so Ellis couldn't be (officially) leading the team in blocks just yet. Of course, this is an alternate reality, and they probably should've been recorded much earlier, so no biggie.

When I first started, I was unsure about that. But I said... hey, they are in the game, why not use them? If you go back to the index and check the team roster, you'll see that I didn't write down steals, blocks or turnovers for anyone before 1970.

That's fair. It certainly fits an alternate reality, and like you said, the game is tracking them regardless.

Yeah, I thought it didn't hurt -- it helped my writing, in any case. Team is coming together!

Have to imagine McAdoo will have an immediate impact. A helpful bit of alternate history coming to fruition there!

When I read that McAdoo and the Blazers couldn't agree on a deal back then, I just had to fix that here. Something tells me he will be much better than LaRue Martin...

Note: Ellis played four more years and was a member of the '72 Lakers, even winning the ring that season; but I didn't want to send him to the infamous 9-73 Sixers team. We'll keep him around via some RED MC editing :cheeky:

It's also strange to think that there used to be negotiations like that before the Draft took place. Obviously there's still politicking and whatnot that goes on behind the scenes today, but with fixed rookie contracts, now it's about location and a team's prospects.

When I was making my research, I read that Glickman and the team would not be picking a player who had not agreed to a contract before the draft. Things have changed a little bit.

19c! A bargain!

Seriously though, I enjoy those touches as much as the recaps.

It adds a nice little realism, right? It will help me to write a little less, too.

It's looking good! Not sure about a .500% season, but 35 games maybe? That's achievable for sure.

Figuring out how to stay afloat on the road and pick up some more wins will definitely be key.
