Opening a dialog (Discoveries)

Postby Mahmood on Sat May 07, 2022 4:49 pm

Lately, it feels like the forum's been a little empty in terms of discoveries or digging. I know it takes place in the backend, but I personally love to read about everything a person can find, as the information we swap is only another thing for the community to understand.

Anyone found anything cool lately?

Im currently working on replacing jumpshots atm. I was able to get some old jumpers back into the game through the NBA_Animations IFF file. I have lebrons 2k13 and his 2k14 jumpers, Kevin durants 2k11 Release, and a couple others as well. Im trying to find where the numbered Bases and Releases are located in the NBA_Animations file if anyone can help with that? Once we locate those, we might be able to use older 2ks and get back animations that have been removed

I made a few team audio discoveries from 2K20. Don't know if they still work in 2K22, but here's a short list of the IDs I've come across in 2K20:
903 - New Orleans Hornets
962 - Team USA
963 - Dream Team
964 - Celebrity Team
967 - Australia
968 - Argentina
969 - Canada
970 - France
971 - Spain

Not the most useful for most mods and it's not necessarily a "discovery" but for anyone who uses blacktop+ or finds a way for players to be shirtless, a while back I found out that you can edit the "torso" color the same way as you can for chest and leg textures.
A base for tattoos and/or matching skin tones.
In this download i included blank/default chest and leg skin tones as well as torsos.
- For anyone who will use this, just like chest color: RENAME the file and make sure it matches within the .TXTR or you will randomly replace others with that base skin tone:

an example of me using this on my Tatum tattoo: Image

More sharing like this is absolutely needed, and incredibly helpful.

With all the mods I see people producing, it would be helpful to have more threads created in the tutorial section, and just overall more sharing in general.

It is great for the community.
