Being an old school basketball fan I don't get the fascination with Sponsor patches? Having advertisement in the stadium and on the court is one thing, but on the uniforms? Its distasteful. That is just my opinion.

Hardly say there is a fascination. The simple fact is they are on the jerseys in real life, therefore people want them in the game to reflect reality.

I will say find this amusing as a European fan, every single aspect of american sports is so heavily commercialised. It's all consuming. But one more small patch on the jerseys is beyond the pale?

Get use to it, it's here to stay. Companies pay teams small fortunes to advertise their products. One patch isn't bad. Let's hope they don't add more like soccer teams.
