I'd expect that to pick up in the next couple seasons, but I think also the carry-over effect of players who weren't filling out squads in future years but are in this universe are probably playing into that, with weaker benches on most teams as they would normally trade these guys out after a season or two for someone in free agency or from the D-League. Definitely an observation I've noticed in the past couple seasons.

Good point. Also, sim engines are certainly far from perfect, even in more recent games.

Good results across the board for the All-Star Weekend. Could definitely see it happening in this reality.

Trade Deadline
17th February 2014
Brooklyn resets, sends Howard to Charlotte, Boozer to Denver in mega 3-team trade

After a dismal start at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn have officially moved on from the Dwight Howard/Carlos Boozer era, sending D12 to Charlotte and Boozer to Denver. The move comes as the Bobcats continue to double down on the now, looking to pair Howard with the likes of Zach Randolph and Jarrett Jack and make their march back to the Finals, while Denver is looking to cash in on their hot start with swapping out prospect Patrick Patterson for the seasoned Carlos Boozer, whose bloated contract deemed him almost untradeable to the entire league. The lesser pieces of the trade include the former dominant duo of Gerald Wallace and Richard Hamilton, with Hamilton heading to the Mile High City, while Wallace will lean heavily into a mentorship role in Brooklyn. The deal shakes up the Bobcats' Division, cementing their intentions to challenge Miami as the true leader in the Southeast.
Lakers add Rondo, send Thomas to Celtics

The Lake Show looks to be rolling the dice just one more time, trading away their PG of the future in Isaiah Thomas for stalwart assist master Rajon Rondo, who didn't fit a Celtics squad destined to fully rebuild. The move will see Rondo pair with Kobe, Pau & Bynum to make their charge back up the rankings, after going 1-9 before the deadline. While the Celtics add another prospect to their young list, the Timberwolves swapped out Hedo Turkoglu for the Lakers' Metta World Peace, further strengthening their defensive ties as they prepare for another potential postseason.
Spurs add experience in Terry, Mavs, Magic swap pieces

Smaller guards have changed hands between Dallas, San Antonio and Orlando, leading to multiple backcourt changes. George Hill will finally get his chance to be a #1 option at PG in Orlando, moving out of the shadow of Tony Parker/Chris Paul to lead the Magic offense. The Mavericks shedding has begun, with veteran Jason Terry heading south to San Antonio to join Paul and their quest to take on the Thunder, bringing in veteran PG Jameer Nelson and young SG Gerald Henderson to shake up their backcourt. The Spurs also crucially secured PF Brandon Bass, after limping to the deadline with only Mike Scott filling the 4 role, Bass' presence should further legitimise and reduce the pressure on the Spurs' frontcourt.
You can find the full list of deadline deals here.

Man, it's weird to see a young Giannis and veteran Timmy D riding the pine for the Knicks.

A truly unstoppable force, and with Durant/Westbrook/Harden all together at least the next two years, it's going to be a matter of who can beat them rather than can they win.
