Of course, when you mentioned the lack of people spending in 2K20 compared to the prior installments, they caved in and threw a giant middle finger to the gamers with the glitched and out of position cards. Hedo Turkoglu? One of the cheesiest jumpshots in the recent 2K games, and people would run him at the point. 2K notices this and proceeds to give him a Galaxy Opal card and make him PG-eligible.


Thon Maker's Ruby card was considered a budget beast, and just like Hedo, he's a PG-eligible Galaxy Opal (who can also run the SF position as well).


Neither of these players have EVER played PG in their entire NBA career. Since 2K got too caught up in their VC earnings, they were willing to backstab the community as a last ditch effort for profit.

Since I just got 2K20 for cheap and was watching a youtuber play MyTeam, I was inspired to play MyTeam as well.

What are the best way to get some cards? So far I like playing triple threat and I finished 3/4 of the Moments Challenge. I plan on playing only single player entirely if that is possible.

Stocking up on Tokens through Challenges and Domination can help fill your roster out quickly (and cheaply). Triple Threat Offline is also good for Tokens and packs, as well as a few guaranteed cards (some of which are Evolution cards and can be improved). The guaranteed cards for the early Spotlight Challenges are also worth snapping up, and any Locker Code they release is worth punching in.

Actually managed to get the Galaxy Opal Devin Booker card from the latest Locker Code on PC. Thinking of loading him up with Diamond Shoes and a Diamond Contract, and seeing if I can make some MT.

The market really is out of control this year. Last year GOs were admittedly dirt cheap by the end there. This year, everyone's going for the big MT payday.

This year may have been the best ever for non-money spenders with all the cards that could be earned, but it may also be the worst it has ever been for money-grabbing. Position locks are officially a ruined concept, too. The new Dirk can only player SG or SF? I know it wasn’t in much demand, but I miss the historic collections that would have lower tier cards like sapphire, emerald, and gold. Perhaps I could have had a cheap sapphire Rick Fox for a historic Lakers team much earlier in the year instead of struggling to get a PD on the ball drop

I liked last year's collections a bit better as well. It's one of those tough situations where they need to do something new every year so it's fresh, but that also results in them leaving some good ideas behind. Evolution cards are a concept they should keep, though.

It's incentive to use different cards on top of the challenges they each set forth. Definitely a good idea. Once again though, as far as the historical collections, i preferred NBA 2K19's approach.

They are also old and rare at this point. I doubt they are actually selling for the insane prices, but they never seem to be up for reasonable prices

MyTeam has been surprising this year.

I was able get pretty dope cards with the Spotlight and Domination challenges, as well as the Token Market.

Evolution cards should stay in the game for sure. They are really fun.

I usually pick up MyTeam on May, play a little and buy a nice team in the Auction House. I should have invested in the mode earlier cause maybe I would have been able to get some nice cards through a little grinding.

Right now I'm playing with:

PD Ja Morant - PD Kobe - D Kevin Durant - PD Pau Gasol - D Kareem (evolution)

With a mix of D Doncic, D Curry, D Westbrook, D Tatum, D Brown, A McGrady, A Leonard, evolution Rose, Nowitzki and others I can't remember off the bench. I tried to get Robert Horry but no luck. Even if the cards are bad some of this "niche" players tend to go for a lot.

I might give a shot at the new Finals Spotlight to get that OG Bird. OG Duncan from the Token Market feels like a pipe dream.


I felt this year the offline modes were really cool and endless (I don't even try online tbh, just feels like a bunch of tryharders exploiting the overpowered plays and animations rather than having fun playing bball)
