Try this and see if it works.

I cleared out all the LOD stuff in the file, I would recommend you do the same to make sure you are copying in the values to the right place. But the important thing is that "hat_custom_shader" is added to the end of the Material section and that the 3 vertex groups that say "hat_custom_shader" are added to the end of the Prim section. Otherwise the ninja headband won't show up in the game, regardless of whether it has been applied to the model file with the 3D Accessory Tool.

As far as I can see that looks like typical clipping that requires you to adjust it in Blender to fit it custom to the player.

Ok so it must not be applied to the actual model file. Can you send me that? If need be I can apply it for you and you can see what I did

trevor, can you check out my issue I'm having? It's almost like the UV Map once I use the blender add on tool isn't saving. I'll export it it, after making the adjustments, then import it, and it's right back to messed up again.

Disregard Trevor. I don't know why, but the blender tool wasn't saving when I was using it. I went in and manually resized the hair UV Map, and exported it, and it worked perfectly, lol. Thank you so much for this tool!

wtferrell, if you are using the ninja headband with lebron would you mind sharing the png please. I would greatly appreciate it.

Which LeBron are you using? Can you send me your file and I can try to fix it for you if I have time. Just upload it and send me the link.

Yo try this now, there was like one extra space somewhere in the scene file and Blender was being picky lol. When I fixed that and tried importing again, the ninja headband appears on Lebron.

Nice, glad you were able to get it resolved. Yeah the blender addon definitely isn't perfect, so if all else fails you can manually resize/move it while referring to the original file's UV Map.

Its beautiful to see everyone attempting to make their own mods

Thanks Trevor that worked. Now do I just add those files back to the original png or do I have to also add additional files from the ninja headband file to the png as well.

Drag everything that is in that original folder where the accessory is into png archive EXCEPT the original ninjaHT.SCNE file and its model file. Instead, drag in the player’s hihead.SCNE and model file that you altered

Trevor you the man. Thanks. Now I just have to learn to use blender to edit the headband and create vertex groups, watching your video from earlier in the post.

Welcome to the club! Your fruit basket and membership card are in the mail!
In all seriousness, that's awesome man! That's like 99% of the heavy lifting for modding. Texture work is its own beast but if you got through blender, that's the roughest part.

this is a bit of a longshot, but is there a way to use two different hair textures? like one texture is for the actual hair while the facial hair loads a different one? thanks

Yes definitely. Change the filenames for one of the sets of textures from "hair" to "hair_shell". Then add "hair_shell_shader" to Material section in whatever SCNE file it's in and change "facialHair_shader" or "hair_shader" to "hair_shell_shader" in the Prim section of the SCNE file

thank you...

Hey bro, I'm like 99% sure I did everything right. I got the ninja headband to show up on this modded Harkless by Torogi on blender but it doesn't show up in game. I've erased the LOD files as well and it still doesn't show up.
Edit: Nevermind I got it to show up in game lol. I forgot to copy all the files from the ninja headband accessory folder
Edit: Also will I be able to add hair to a player that doesn't have hair through the shrinkwrap tool? I want to give Lonzo Ball a hair update
