2019 Playoffs: (2) Toronto vs. (7) Orlando

Fri Apr 12, 2019 4:58 am

The Magic return to the playoffs for the first time since 2012, doing so led by the main guy they traded Dwight for, Nikola Vucevic. At 42-40, taking on an elite team in the Raptors, we should expect their playoff trip to be brief. However, they have been on fire down the stretch, and the Raptors never seem to make things easy on themselves. Perhaps getting rid of DeMar and Casey will remove that stigma, but I think Orlando takes a couple games off of them.

It's the time of the season for Lowry to disappear again, watch him be outplayed by DJ Augustin.

The Magic have shown moments of greatness this season. I could see them making this a series, but falling in 6.

Raptors in six feels like a good prediction, accounting for their recent reputation for being great in the regular reason, so-so in the postseason. Maybe that changes with former Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard as their top player, but the Magic scrapping their way to a couple of wins isn't unthinkable.

What a fucking day so far; I only caught the very beginning and very end of this one (I wish I watched the whole thing, but I was so burned out after watching the majority of Nets/6ers).

Time to make Lowry third string and start Lin?

There'll be no Playoff Lowry card in MyTEAM; or at least, not one that anyone actually wants to pull. It's only one game, but I'm feeling good about picking the Magic to steal a couple.

I don't even remember Augustin playing on any team that wasn't the Bobcats...

best unintentional lob ever?

I remember hoping the Bulls would hold onto him after 2014. Instead, he turned into another one of their single season rentals at point guard.

Naah, no need for the Raptors to worry yet. Magic definitely won't shoot close to 50% from the 3pt line next game, Lowry definitely won't go 0 from 7 again.
And you can stone me to death for underestimating an average player that had the night of his career, but DJ Augustin will not hit any clutch shots from now on. He's gonna get constant love from the Raptors defense next time
