Not when they got a shitton of young players...

Speaking of which, I actually went to high school with Omari Spellman for like a year... he was a grade below me. Maybe saw him in the hall like one time (that or my memory is bad); I remember one person telling me he was gonna be in the NBA, but I didn't follow his career or anything and my jaw hit the floor when I saw he was a first-round selection... I had completely forgotten about him.

Hawks get their revenge, in regulation this time.

Apparently LeBron James achieved some milestone today? Unfortunately ESPN didn't give it much of a mention, so I'm not clear on what it was.

But yeah, hats off to LeBron. Nuggets got the win though, after almost letting it slip.

Hats off to the Clippers for one helluva season; I remember commenting last year that they were turning into the post-Melo Nuggets, with Gallinari being the common thread. You would've thought them and the Lakers would be in reverse spots; same with the Nets and Wizards in the east.

Brooklyn and LAC are quickly becoming my favorite teams from each conference... I guess you could count D'Lo, but I love these starless teams that get into the playoffs each year.

The Clippers have definitely defied expectations in the wake of Lob City coming to an end. Both they and the Nets are definitely underdog teams to cheer for.

I thought the Clips were tanking after dumping Harris but I am shocked they stayed the course. I'd say Portland is the only one in the west I want to win (anybody but GS)
And in the east Toronto for Jeremy Lin or maybe Milwaukee as well

Toronto vs Denver for me. First time we'll be guaranteed a first time champion since 2006.

When I first started watching basketball, it was "anyone but the Lakers" (Shaq era). Then it was "anyone but the Heat". Now it's "anyone but the Warriors". The silver lining to these years where one team seems head and shoulders above the rest of the competition is that it feels like a victory when someone beats them. It made the 2004 Pistons and 2011 Mavs wins thrilling, and the 2003 and 2014 Spurs wins palatable.. Golden State will probably win it again this year, but if not I'll be happy for whoever it is instead, be it Milwaukee, Toronto or Houston. The Nurkic injury knocks out the Blazers (though they never had a shot anyway) but I'll still root for them until they're dispatched. After that, I'll probably bandwagon Toronto

I don't know about the Warriors winning being a foregone conclusion. They've looked more vulnerable this year, and all these deep runs have taken their toll. As it stands, the Rockets were quite close to beating them last year, and may well have if they didn't shoot themselves out of the game instead of changing up the strategy when they went ice cold from downtown.

Maybe if PG 13 isn't injured I like OKC's chances. Dude was legit MVP before the shoulder injury

Houston's defense is worse than last year and who will guard Kd? And can cp3 make it through the playoffs

Speaking of injuries, Nurkic's was pretty gruesome. Right up there with George, Livingston, and Hayward.
