How do you play in the 2-player mode on the same computer?

I have been able to play two player using all of the available buttons with a HammerHead FX Dual Analog(Gameport) and a Firestorm Dual Analog(USB) and it works flawlessly. and like Andrew said drag the appropriate controller icons to their respective "shadows" on the team of your choice
