NBA 2K19 Official Screenshots

I will agree with that but the problem with 2K even the older known veterans or even starters are still getting the unknown player treatment. Unless people bombard them with tweets/messages they won't do anything with them. Main examples for this are Deandre Jordan, Aaron Bynes, Derrick Rose, Julius Randle, Aaron Gordon, etc. to name a few. Good thing some players got updated thru patch. But still they should have been updated in the disc when the game was released.

Also on the side note, I don't know why 2K has not yet put back the ability to put headband on players on current gen games. I don't know if it was added in 2K18 since I did not buy the game. A simple addition but can give a big impact.

The situation with headbands is due to the way the model files work these days. If headbands could be added to any player, there'd be issues with the bands clipping through some of their heads. It's the same in NBA Live 18 after roster editing was added; we can edit any accessory except headbands.

I'm so utterly confused...two previews but one has tattoos and one does not. Why the discrepancy?

Also, Isiah Cannan was updated? I think it's a new face-scan. Got to say, I'm impressed with their ability to face-scan, I just wish it was available for every player. Too many guys fall through the cracks each year.

MyPlayer creation interface looks better, although I'd still like to see actual numbers.



Looking at the phone, I can see the Pro-Am icon. Here's hoping Neighbourhood is gone or at least optional. Unlikely to be gone completely, but we'll see.

In this screenshot the muscles actually look defined, so those "clay like muscles" seem to really be lighting issue.

My understanding is that The Neighbohood is still going to be a thing, but hopefully it's possible to bring up 2K Pro-Am team stats in a full screen window. That was something that bugged me in NBA 2K18, restricting it to the in-game phone app with its small display.

I have many gripes with the Neighbourhood system. I understand they probably don't want to scrap it completely as resources have been invested into it - and this goes back to my statement that players can feel that resources are being poured into wrong parts of the game, posh instead of fixes.

If they'd enable private sessions I'd take it as half the evil. At it's current state in 2K18 the Neighbourhood delays players from playing the game, generally creates inconveniences and obstacles. With private session, you could probably remove many of the loading delays and throttling from other players using equipment the game wants you to use too. For exmaple the eye hand coordination test that actually allowed you to grind for a badge was very often occupied and there was no way to use it.

Completely agreed. Running back and forth between locations just to do something that took a few seconds in the menus the previous year also got old very quickly. There was no streamlining of the experience.

The lighting definitely seems to wash out a lot of the player artwork. Not really my cup of tea. Kills the realism

Lmao I don't understand why they do this. If it's not to show off a scanned face, then it's just clickbait to get people to argue about ratings, but then why post players that suck and no one's ever heard of?
