great start to the season nice recaps!!

NBAlive.org is back up and I downloaded everything I needed. I just need to do some quick editing and change some player shoes. Some people are coming over to my house tomorrow, last day before school . I will try to squeeze in an update tomorrow, if not then I guess I can only update on weekends and days-off because this year of school is going to be HELL . I am also letting you know that for my next update I will change of couple of things, it will be presented much better and I am trying to find a way to make the pictures less blurry, but changes will be made. I thank you all for your patience.

I wanted to let everybody know I'm really sorry, I have been so busy lately I have no time to play any games or do any updates. I have NOT given up on this dynasty and I will keep it going until I get Live '05. I have so much homework and I've been going out a lot and that all comes first. So I'm hoping I can at least update you on some trades this weekend but I can not be sure of anything.

No apologies needed dude, we should all understand, the same happens here with me, i dont post for quite awhile, then when i get a chance to do some write ups i crack into it then wait for the next chance i get.

Kidd Knee Problems Persist, Nets Forced to get Help

With so many offers being made for Jason Kidd the last thing the Nets needed was for Kidd to go down with knee problems. Kidd had knee surgery over the offseason because of cartilage in his knee. He wasn't expected to start this season but overcame the surgery and started out the season playing well. During the first two games of the season Kidd averaged 18 points, 8 assists and 7.5 rebounds. And although Nets managment really has no intention of trading the All-Star guard, Kidd wants to leave. He first showed signs that he wanted to leave when Kenyon Martin was traded, or basically given, to the Nuggets for three first-round picks. Then when Kerry Kittles was traded, or again given, to the Clippers for a first-round pick thats when Kidd wanted out of Jersey. Although he still has Jefferson at his wing Kidd still wants a championship and he knows that the Nets are now a lottery team and a championship, or maybe even a play-off berth is out of the question. The Nets are now without a starting point guard, and with very few consistent player on the Free Agent list the Nets just may be in huge trouble.

Nets Sign Best and Fizer, Release Drejer

After Jason Kidd went down in practice the Nets already weak roster took a huge blow. The Nets only point guards on the team besides Kidd are Jacque Vaughn and Zoran Planinic who have never started in their careers. So the Nets needed to sign a veteran who has started before and can lead the team. So the Nets signed 5'11", 185 pound guard Travis Best. Best has started in Miami two seasons ago and last year played for the Mavericks but got injured early on. The Mavericks also signed 6'8", 260 pound forward Marcus Fizer. The Nets desperatley needed a low-post player since Scalabrine spends most of his time on the outside and Nenad Krstic is still young and undeveloped. With these two players being signed the Nets had to release 2nd round pick Christian Drejer who has yet to step on the floor in an NBA game. So now Jefferson finds himself the leader of a team at a very young age and he has to take almost all the scoring onto his shoulders.

The Nets didn't have enough room on their roster for Drejer.

Both Best and Fizer are going to have to play extremely well to make up for Kidd's scoring, passing and rebounding

I am still looking for ways to improve, match_66 told me how to get better quality pictures and if anybody else has any suggestions or complaints I would be happy to hear them.

The pics probably look better because I downloaded Jowe's 2x jersey texture and Danets 2x patch. I also downloaded an update for every single court (except Golden State) and I downloaded a lot of cyberfaces although in the newest screens I put up you can't really notice any, except maybe Kidd and I doubt you can see Nowitzki's, hes too far away. So the patches proabably made a huge difference but if you've seen match_66's screens then you'll know what they will end up looking like.

yeah i agree with SbHZmAFiA, you pics are already great without that program. and your dynasty rocks. also like the way you make it realistic like about kidd injury and will start playing in december. signing free agent was also good. hope to see more from your dynasty. keep it up bro.

Hey dude did you want some tips on getting your pics lees blurry??

Basicly wat i do with mine (Cavs Dynasty, i also do the pics for Shbzmafia's one) is i get the scrrenshot take it into Jasac Paintshop Pro and Crop it a little, you know just aroun the player(s). Then I resize it to 50% of the original size.

Next i save it as a .jpeg

I then go and open Adobe Photoshop Pro and then open the pic, i go to the Filter drop down menu and go to the sharpen directory and click sharpen (make sure to only sharpen it once.

The Last step is to choose the save for web option, make sure the pic is under 250k and save it as a jpeg type. If the name is the same as the file name for the file saved from paintshop pro it will ask if you want to replace it, say "Yes". Then the pic will still be open, but this one is the orignal which is not saved specificly for web, when asked if you want to save it say no, or save it as another name so as not to overwrite the Web Specicific file.

Personally I like the 3-Way trade between the Wolves-Nets-Knicks. And the Lakers trade won't work out since Harris was just waived and I am going to waive him too. trade 2 would be find coz you messed up Wolves hehehe

but honestly i like trade #1 coz it will benifits you more. you get 2 big salary and you get a good rookie. Reef will be free agent next season and Van Exel might retire next season.

Hehe, ya it would mess up the Wolves but it is a trade that might really happen. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how all these players perform a little farther into the season and then see which trade works out best.

I don't think you should make any trade because from what I hear, the Nets aren't going to trade their star PG even though Kidd does want to be traded. He isn't exactly threatening the Nets to trade him, so I think Kidd will be with the Nets through the season.

Well I really do want to keep him, in game he has been great. But I still have a considerable wait before I can trade him but I don't really want to.

Just wanted to say I will be doing an update later on today, I'm so tired right now and kind of messed up still (nobody has to know why ). I'm gonna go to sleep and when I get up I will update, there will be some big updates done today.

Nets Waive Harris, Place Kidd on Injury Reserve

After serving the Nets for so long and helping Jason Kidd motivate the team in the locker room and on the court, the Nets have made a decision to waive long time New Jersey Nets guard Lucious Harris. Many people question this decision, with the Nets in the rebuilding stage Harris, along with Kidd, really could have helped motivate the team. "He was always a great leader and helped the younger players in practice", says Nets head coach Lawrence Frank. With Harris gone, all the three-point shooting the Nets had basically walked out the door. And it has just been announced that Jason Kidd has been placed in the injured list, so if Harris was not waived he would have been a great leader for this team. The Nets have made a lot of questionable moves this offseason, but this move could really make the Nets one of the worst teams in the league.

Harris has always helped younger players, here he is shown working with Zoran Planinic on the Nets fast break offense.

Game 3

New Nets Need to Step Up for New Jersey to Succeed

With Jason Kidd out for who knows how long and Lucious Harris waived for who knows what reason, New Jerseys chances of even making the playoffs seem like a fantasy. Unless the two new acquired Nets step up and take a load off Jeffersons shoulders. The Nets have just recentley signed Marcus Fizer and Travis Best to fill in some weak roster spots. Fizer will definitley be an upgrade over Scalabrine but Best will probably never help the team as much as Kidd can. But the thing is, the Nets are not a bad team, are their new players had their seasons where they played amazing but are now on the decline. However, if everybody on the team can step up and take defenders away from Jefferson the Nets may just be able to make the playoffs.

Game 3
New Jersey At Washington

The Nets are playing without Jason Kidd and Lucious Harris but filled in a weak spot at power forward by signing Marcus Fizer. Tonight the Nets will be showing off some new talent as they fly west to take on the Washington Wizards.

Keys to Success:
Nets:
- Take the Ball Hard to the Hoop: This has been a key for the Nets every game so far but with even worse three-point shooters on the team now you basically don't have much of a choice.
- Take away Jamisons Drive: Jamison is one of the best in the league at getting to the line, make sure his defender always has help on the weak side to prevent him for driving.
- Don't Give Arenas Any Space: The past two games Arenas has been sinking threes well beyond three point range with consistency, always keep an eye on him and resist the urge to double team.

Wizards:
- Post up the Nets Smaller Guards: With Best now starting at point guard, use your strenght to your advantage. Take Best down low and post him up.
- Keep all Eyes on Jefferson: Always make Jefferson your main priority to guard until his teammates start making shots.
- Pack the Lane as Much as Possible: The Nets are now most likely the worst shooting long range shooting team in the league but have a lot of guys who can drive hard to the basket, pack the lane and use your shot blockers as much as possible.

1st Quarter
This game was an all out battle between Jefferson and Jamison, and although Arenas got player of the game these two were always up in eachothers faces and battling it out for every lose ball. Fizer played well in this quarter and Travis Best put up 4 assists. After the first the Wizards lead 26-21.

Fizer blew past Kwame Brown a couple of times going into the second quarter with 6 points and 3 rebounds.

Fizer was told he would have to step up his play to remain a starter, here he shows how bad he wants it dunking through traffic and drawing the foul.

Jamison and Jefferson were in eachother faces all game long.

2nd Quarter
In this quarter Jefferson and Jamison continued to battle it out but other players also got involved. Arenas was on fire from downtown and Best and Mercer showed their Midrange games were fine, taking some pressure of off Jefferson. The Wizards lead 53-50 after two.

Arenas had more than half his points from long range in this game.

Best struggled from outside but his midrange game really helped the Nets.

Mercer also showed he can make shots from 18 feet.

Jamison blows past Jefferson and throws it down uncontested.


But Jefferson answers right back throwing it down and drawing a foul.

3rd Quarter
This quarter was all about Gilbert Arenas and Marcus Fizer, oh, and Jamison and Jefferson too. Arenas had 5 assists in this quarter and Fizer tallied 8 points. Arenas also had 11 points in this quarter and Jefferson and Jamison put up 6 each. Going into the fourth the Wizards lead 79-74.

Arenas dishes a no look pass to Haywood for 1 of his 5 assists in the quarter.

Arenas throws it up for Jamison and he finishes with style.

Despite leading the game in assists, Arenas can also score.

Fizer was a huge improvement in the paint over Scalabrine.

Fizer also rebounded very well, here he gets a huge putback dunk off the Buford miss.

4th Quarter
The only new story in this quarter was Jason Collins. Collins struggled all night long until the beginning of the fourth. In the fourth Collins put up 8 points and 6 boards leading the team in rebounds. But despite Jefferson outscoring Jamison and Collins and Fizers efforts, in the end, Arenas blew up from downtown helping the Wizards to a 104-96 victory and earning player of the game honours.

Despite Collins best game this season the Nets still came up short.

Arenas was unstoppable from downtown, constantly draining shots well beyond the three point mark

Jefferson and Jamison put up almost the same numbers but had to fight hard against eachother to get them.

The Nets are at home against Houston as they try to snap a two game losing streak but have to do it against one of the best one-two punch combos in Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady.

Nets Crowds Wearing Thin

As if the Nets troubles could'nt get any worse. Last season the Nets were 4th last in attendance in the entire league, but the crowds were always loud and energetic. However, if you looked up into the crowds during the first home game of the season there looked to be more empty seats then filled ones. But if you were a Nets fan I doubt you would want to go to a game and see Ron Mercer and Marcus Fizer as your second and third scoring options. At least when Kidd was healthy the first two games there were a little more people in the stands. But now the Nets are falling in almost every category. Once one of the best defensive teams in the league now has maybe only one defender. So know one knows what the fate of the Nets will be, but they better think of something to get people back in the stands or their already big money woes just may get a lot bigger.

Sorry about this post...I was going to do another update but I got lazy . Sorry, well tomorrows monday and back to school so likely no more updates until friday.
