Looks like D'lo is still gonna be missing his tattoos

Probably because of the copyright issues they've dealt with before with some tattoo artists?

I'd be mad if Harrison Barnes doesn't get the same treatment or better as DLo got for his overall rating.

Good to hear they're adding his tattoos for the sake of authenticity, though you'd think they'd hold off on posting the screenshot until they could share an updated glimpse. I guess they're blasting through all the Team 2K members, but still.

83 Overall...you know the funny thing about his Overall Rating is that last year, you had to reach a much higher Overall than the one he had to unlock his signature celebration animations for your MyPLAYER. Kind of weird...wonder if it'll be like that this year, too.

I guess they just wanted to get his overall rating out quickly. Though, it's counterproductive when you advertise that D'Angelo's getting his tattoos, after the fact that you decide to post the screenshot. The Madden Twitter account for example, never shows a player if he doesn't have his tattoos, but once they get permission, that's when they show the player for authenticity.

That would seem like the more logical way to go, but it is what it is.

For some 20 year anniversary game
There's nothing groundbreaking with the game for the past few years outside of more VC $$$ making schemes.
At least 2k9 was really spectacular which was 10 years ago, I still remember shedding a tear upon playing that game for the 1st time.

It's gonna be minor tweaks until we get next gen consoles (probably 2020, late 2019 best case scenario). I've learnt to live with the idea already.

I remember seeing a sub walk to the scorer's table for the first time in the first NBA 2k on Dreamcast and my mind was blown

And inaccurate jerseys ; Numbers are too big

Based on the ton of inaccurate numbers on the retros, I'd tend to believe it, but no they look about right.

Re: NBA 2K19 Official Screenshots

No I think Sticky-fingers is right. The Lakers wordmark is a little further down the jerseys than it is in real life, and the numbers are slightly oversized. From the looks of it the #2 goes a bit further left towards then the "L" than in does in real life. The #3 probably shares the same problem but you can't really see it from that angle.

Obviously these are minor issues, but you have to wonder why these things happen when they supposedly "scan" these jerseys. I think what really happened was they probably scanned a nike template jersey, took reference photos of all the jerseys and that was given to the developers as a base to work off of. Explains why there are so many innacuracies, such as colours, wordmarks etc. The Cavs and Hornets jerseys come to mind immediately.
