There are 17 bobcats, that's 2 too many. And 3 more will be on the phony injury list. So who will make it?
The guys who have a good chance I put yes.

I've heard rumors about Jahidi getting cut.
Sat Sep 18, 2004 10:53 am
How can they cut him, he has one of the biggest contracts? And he's a plug in the paint, one of their most experienced and useful right away guys.
Sat Sep 18, 2004 10:54 am
I think he has one year left on his contract. He is lazy, they want youth and he has no more potential and is too lazy and stupid to teach the young guys. No point in keeping him I guess.
Sat Sep 18, 2004 11:34 am
They actually just signed Steve Smith so that means that probably three players will get cut.
At least one point guard will be cut since they have more than they need already. I'm guessing it'll be either Cook or Carter.

jahidi has shown some promise on the defensive end (sometimes).. but other than that he's not that great + he's injury prone.. his offensive skills are somewhat limited, he's only good for putbacks and dunks.. i heard he's a hardworker but im not sure if he's worth keeping.. i'd cut him
Sat Sep 18, 2004 11:42 am
r u dumb vlad....okafor and wallace wont make the team!! they are no bodies
KIDDIN..IM KIDDIN!!!

hahaha and he was considering him as a possible hall of famer
also its great news to hear the bobcats threw steve smith a bone.. he still has a few good productive years in him. Heck they should go out and sign all the veterens who can't get no burn for any teams.. i'm looking at your direction rodman...kemp...ac earl

Hehehehe I still do consider VLADE a hall of famer! I just put him in that category for you guys who say he is not!
You have to admit he is better than ilgauskas and miller, for his career, at least?
Sat Sep 18, 2004 2:13 pm
And remember, the only guys charlotte cheered for when they were picked was Jahidi white and fizer, who went to free agency.

hmmm... they had better keep Omar Cook... he could be a star on THIS team...
10 Omar Cook G
2 Melvin Ely F
1 Jason Hart G
5 Eddie House G
56 Brandon Hunter F
24 Jason Kapono F
22 Brevin Knight G
50 Emeka Okafor F-C
21 Bernard Robinson G-F
31 Jamal Sampson F
32 Tamar Slay G
0 Theron Smith F
3 Gerald Wallace F
Steve Smith G
Maybe that will be the team? They will cut Maurice Carter, Jahidi White and Primoz Brezec... ur guess is as good as mine!
Sat Sep 18, 2004 3:48 pm
I don't think they'll cut Jahidi White. They'd have to pay his salary whether he was on the team or not, so they may aswell keep him seeing asthough they've got a limited number of Centers.
Sat Sep 18, 2004 4:33 pm
Oh k... they keep white and cut Bernard Robinson... who is he?
Sat Sep 18, 2004 4:41 pm
Bernard Robinson was the 45th pick of the 2004 Draft. I'm guessing they won't cut him.

What the crap? Gerald Wallace a good chance to get cut? Primoz Brezec? These are the two players the Cats are trying to extend.
I wouldnt be surprised to see Brandon Hunter and Maurice Carter get cut. The third one is up in the air, I think it might be between Theron Smith and Tamar Slay if it's not Jahidi (more likely Jahidi).

I thought Bernard Robinson Jr. was pretty good in college at Michigan. He has a mid-range jumper and a bad thing is he cant do sh*t with his heft hand on the court.

Jahidi doesn't fit their team and cutting him doesn't matter since his contract runs up at the end of the season.
I expect Maurice Carter, Jahidi White and Corey Benjamin to get cut.

i am wondering who will be fantasy sleepers out of those players, gerald wallace seems to be the obvious. who else can do it though? (i am already scouting players to pick in the upcoming fnba team, haha)

benard robinson isnt goin anywhere, he signed a contract with them recently

Corey Benjamin was considered the second most athletic player behind Vince Carter in the 98 draft. For some reason I wanna see him do well. Who knows he might even be entertaining for the Bobcats
